Can the dealer tell?
Just checking to see if I reprogram the ecu and then put the stock program back in can the dealer can tell something was done? I had a SCT programmer with my last vehicle and when I would bring it in I would just pull the old tune out and put in my factory program and they couldn't tell. As far as what they would see, it would look like I disconnected the batteries and reconnected them.
Thanks

I think the stealership can tell that something was changed in the ECU, however I don't believe that they can tell what it was. I may be wrong here though.
Also, I don't believe that they really even check this sort of thing unless there is a major problem with the car and they are specifically looking at the ECU as the problem.

I found out the 9 ecu is just like my last vehicle. Pull the stock tune out and replace it with a modified one and you can bring it back to stock like nothing happened.

I didn't think that EVO ECU's were interchangable without some reprogramming?

So you just flash the IX ECU to whatever and put it back to stock and they can't tell you flashed it if you need to bring it in?
That's Hot <3

got a dumb question crossed my mind, would ecu stop "self-learning mode" after flash? Can dealer detect it and tell you did something to ecu?

correct, once flashed back to stock, it looks to them as if it was never flashed at all.
