still not sure what's up with it. I put in e85 and kept the boost/timing the same, just a leaner AFR and the power picked up 30 but it's still nowhere near the cold months. It ran out of fuel by 550awhp, I had to turn the boost down a hair.
The battery light came on the other day, seems the alternator died. I have a new one on the way, should be here Monday afternoon. Some new injectors arrived too, who knows, maybe one of these has something to do with the power loss but that's a stretch.

Still worth a boost leak check? Though likely you've already done that...

yep, checked it thoroughly multiple times. I'm beginning to wonder if the cams are worn, reducing the lift etc... I might pull the valve cover soon.
I did some e85 tuning last night and got the new alternator installed. keep blowing off pipes at 40psi so I'll have to work on that shortly and resume.

Did a lil tuning yesterday, the car feels great on e85 and should crack 700 in cold weather easily.

Looks like the power is back. How does it compare to the q16 chart?

hey mellon, that's my old evo!!! I'm still in shock that i've finally found it.
Traded it in at the infiniti dealer back in '06 with 12,500miles with a worn out clutch. It had a jestrtune, mcculloch hid kit, h&r springs, painted heads/tails, autometer boost gauge, cf lip, bad stock tires..etc. wow oh wow, i'm so happy it's got a good home!
