I didn't get around to doing the race gas tune, the local shop that keeps it in stock was closed when I went by there.

I did some playing on the street this weekend and had some lockout issue...I was experiencing this before the transmission let loose and hoped that the fresh tranny would clear that up but it didn't. My transmission guy thought the clutch looked like new so I didn't have it freshened up while it was out. I haven't upgraded the stock shifter bushings so maybe that's a possibility. I'll probably call David Buschur and see what he suggests.

I did wire up a remote switch to my greddy profec b spec II so that I can flip from low to high boost with the press of a button on my steering wheel. I did a test launch at low boost (20psi) and it was much much more manageable than the normal boost that causes ridiculous wheel spin (30psi) and when I shift to 2nd I flip the switch to unleash hell

Sorry to hear about your lockout issues. Being a long-term victim, I'll love to hear what fixes it. I don't live close enough to Dave's shop, unfortunately, so I'm going to get up to AMS to have them make the thing shift like butter. I've ached through this with multiple clutches and even multiple transmissions.

Keep us posted and try that race gas!

yep, I went through it before with the exedy twin hd, but only when it was near the end of it's life and the pedal was out of adjustment. I spoke to Dan at Buschur and he and I both feel like it's probably the tilton being worn down. I'll check the adjustment again and make sure I'm pushing it in far enough to release it fully before I do anything else. he was really helpful.

Wow. Last time I read this thread in one sitting back in Sept. I believe. Your evo has always been awsome, now it is just nasty.

thanks ^^

I put the EVO on my steep driveway and in 1st gear, pressed the clutch pedal in to find out where it's releasing and it's about half way down the clutch pedal throw which is higher than I expected and this is after I adjusted it out about as far as it will go. So I'm pretty sure the clutch is just worn down and I wasn't going down far enough to cleanly disengage while racing previously.

I have a road trip and race coming up on the 24th so I just need it to make it through that and I'll be pulling it back out.

I had a race setup last night and it fell through but I did do a single g-tech pull on the drag radials.

I let up early in 4th and shifted to 5th to coast to the finish line.

It still went:
60 1.77
1/8 6.9 @ 105 IIRC
1/4 10.8 @ 128

this was lifting to shift and blazing the tires through first gear on low boost (20psi) then going to 32psi once I shifted to second gear.

daily driving it's been great but I was getting locked out some. I've re-adjusted the clutch pedal and it's worlds better. I think the tilton is starting to show it's age. I did some quick shifts last night and no lockouts, but am hesitant to power shift it until I really need it. I have a big meet coming up on the 24th and I just need it to last through that then I'm probably going to send it off to be freshened up.

2-5 eh, nice job!

ok, I finally gave up on the MT slicks and 17" stock rims...mounted multiple times and it just isn't working for me and I'm tired of spending money on it.

so, in the last 24 hours I ordered:
Motegi Traklite 15" rims which weigh about 10lbs each
MH 15" DOT radial which will give me way more sidewall for launches
Small brake kit for the front which includes rotor, caliper and pads so the 15" rims will clear.

Hopefully this will drastically improve my traction on the street/strip over the current stock 17" rims and BFG Drag Radials which are considerably heavier.

I went out this morning on c16 and eased the boost up to 40psi...some pretty nice gains after 8 or so tuning pulls. I haven't touched the timing yet so there may be more in it. The EBC solenoid died on the last pull, it isn't reading boost and only gives me wastegate boost (20psi) now. I have a spare solenoid and will be changing it out later, I hope that works.

the first chart is the new one and the second is c16 @ 40psi vs 93 @ 33psi. Keep in mind I went 10.41 @ 135 when I had 600awhp in DLL with a 1.68 60' on the 17" BFG drag radials
