Chris,
Seeing the interior of the Stealth brings back memories. I loved my friends 92 R/T because of the wide ratio tranny. I just remember hearing ppl shift 2, almost 3 times and I was still in the same gear.

Placed an order with Nick at Buschur Racing today for their Stage 3 head...it's going to be some time before they can get it to me but I can't wait to put it and the BF272 cams I've got sitting here in. I'm hoping the improved volumetric efficiency picks up the pump gas power considerably.

The exedy twin disc is becoming difficult to shift as it wears out, so I'm going to install the Tilton later next week, that'll take care of the restrictor pill with the new braided line and I won't need to fiddle with the threaded rod.
I probably won't drive the car much this weekend and certainly won't be doing any racing so unless it gets much worse I won't mess with the pill/rod potential temp fixes.
I'll be sure to write a detailed account of the Tilton experience once I've got some seat time with it. It'll also be interesting to see if the e.t. , mph or dll dyno figures change with it.

still waiting on the shorty/head to arrive to be installed with the new cams.
I was on the interstate yesterday and kicked it down to get around a car and noticed my AFR wasn't in the 11's as usual it was in the 12's definitely too lean for 30psi in 100* weather on 93 octane. I took it easy on the way home. I immediately suspected one of the twin fuel pumps must have died. I got my volt meter and an ice pick out to do some investigating. I probed the wire leading to the hobbs switch and it had 12v before and after the fuse so I knew it was getting power. I pulled the boost hose off the hobbs switch and shoved the ice pick in to force it to make contact and sure enough, the second fuel pump didn't come on. I probed the wire coming out of the hobbs to the fuel pump and it wasn't getting voltage so I knew it wasn't a wiring or fuel pump problem. I fiddled with the hobbs switch some and found that sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. I'll call buschur Monday and get a replacment switch on the way. Good thing I keep an eye on the AFR during a pull sometimes.
I got to thinking...when I had 880cc injectors and single pump I didn't have enough fuel to run 30psi but now I have 1000cc injectors and twin pumps. I pulled the fuse to the 2nd pump and retuned the car. I had to add a ton of fuel obviously but I was able to keep the AFR in the 11's but the IDC was 107%...pretty damn high.
