yeah it's a blast to daily drive with this power.
I'm going to go with the BF 272 cams in keeping with the Buschur Racing parts I prefer to use.

switching cams before or after new bottom end? Where in the power band do you think you will benefit by switching out the 280's for the BF 272's?

Like what i see. I'm currently looking into the hta myself. Got a Buschur shortblock in route, can't wait to slap it on. Is there no simpler way to still run the stock MAS w/out it getting sucked in? Also does your mini batter kit work well in the winter? We get below zero up here, so i'm a little worried on the durability of the batter. Again, your setup is awesome.

no I'm going to do the cam swap while I have the head off so I wont have any comparison with the HKS 280 vs BF 272.
I imagine the gains will be across the rpm range

I never had a problem with the stock mas being sucked in, I glued is for good measure...just keep in mind that it'll wreck the tune because it changes the airflow dramatically.
It got down to ~ 20* here, it turned over just a hair slower but the stock battery would have suffered just as much I suspect.

update**
Went to the track, dropped the tire pressure in the drag radials to 15psi, launched at 7000 off the 2 step with 15psi, eased the clutch out and the tires went up in smoke haha nasty ass 60
60' 1.75
1/8th 7.38 @ 94.33
1/4 11.45 @ 124.81 (picking up 30mph!)
I did a compression test after buying the car and it never was good...
170,180,155,180 something like that...I did it again the other day and it's about the same. I don't know how much that 155 is hurting me but it sure will be nice to get a fresh built shorty and have full power.
it was a shame I couldn't make it quit spinning because It should have gotten a 11.3 or better with my typical 1.65 60's
video:
http://www.racevideoforums.com/forum...pass-08-a.html
also I just ordered:
ARP Head Studs (I felt uneasy about using these again knowing that I'm going to crank the pressure way up eventually)
BR BF 272 cams
springs/retainers
The cam finally came in for the Stealth Twin Turbo so I'm hoping to have it on the road soon so I can pull the engine/head out of the EVO and ship them out to BR so they can work their magic.

got the BR BF 272 cams/springs/retainers in, didn't see the studs, I'll have to check the box again.
I also ordered a full gasket kit and kevlar timing belt.
I cranked the Stealth TT up for the first time yesterday with it's new shortblock (the custom grind cam finally arrived)...it has several minor bugs to work out before it's road worthy but that's one giant step closer to ordering the built shorty/head for the evo.

I'm not going to install the cams until I do the built shorty and built head so it won't be a fair comparison against the HKS 280s
the current short block never had good compression..I think it was 155 in one cylinder when I bought it but the rest were 180 180 170. So it'll be nice to have the fresh shorty with full compression too.
I put some c16 in it the other night and left the boost alone, set the AFR the same as where I have it on 93 octane and gave it some timing. I got it up to 560awhp before I started seeing 1-2 counts of knock. I noticed the coolant overflow filled up so I wonder if I pushed out a head gasket. The oil/coolant look fine and it isn't white smoking. I have ARP head studs but I haven't rechecked the torque in a long time.
I spoke with nick at buschur and he said the new head/block will be decked and o-ringed for me so I'm not going to worry about fixing the existing one.
