Hey man,
What do you think the gains were for the BR Throttlebody (65mm) and the Ported intake many? Or should I say if you didn't have this with your same set up what do you think you would be losing? Also, what size injectors are you running...you probably have it listed but I cant remember.
Car is great by the way. My wife should do a drive by and take you out because of you I have ordered
Hta 35r w/headers
Injectors
HKS DLI 2
Clutch/flywheel
BTW, I have BR race front mount as well and HKS 280 cams. I already am running 100% alky so that seems like the only difference between are set ups.

actually I have the PPI 65mm tb and ported intake mani...at the time Buschur was offering a core exchange and since my car is a daily driver I can't take the parts off, ship it and wait for them to return. PPI worked with me on that delimma so I went with them. Buschur might have changed their policy since then though and what PPI did for me might have been an exception...sort of a vendor to vendor favor. As for gains, prior to the intake and tb I maxed out at ~ 28psi and 504awhp in DLL. After the new bits I was able to run 30psi and saw a best of 535awhp in DLL and a few more mph on the g-tech. I tried 30psi with the stock bits and it just didn't like it.
I'm currently running PTE 880's and seeing about 100% IDC but keep in mind that with the previous 780's I didn't lean out until 120% at 7000 RPM. I also have a kenne bell boost a pump to keep the fuel pressure up. I'm probably going to do 1000cc injectors and a twin pump setup from buschur once I get the race engine from him since I've decided to sell the meth kit and run race gas when necessary.
I suspect I've had more than a few customers/members go to Buschur because of me...I hate to sound like a fan boy but I do prefer his parts. I know that when I'm buying from him I'm getting the best bang for the buck. Most of his stuff isn't about the bling factor but just plain power and that's right in line with what I want.
your setup should scream, let us know how you like it

Mellon do you think a bigger T/B with a stock turbo would gain anything?

I don't have any data on that but I suspect the answer would be no because the air is going to hit the small stock gasket and stock intake inlet.
I think the 65mm tb should be done with a ported stock intake to see any substantial gains from it.

Ok so If I did one before the other I should probably get the intake ported right? Did Buschur do it for you?

I woudln't bother doing one without the other..they work together.
no, at that time Buschur didn't offer a core exchange option. My car is a daily driver so I can't afford to take it off the road to pulled the manifold, ship it and wait for it to return...it just isn't an option.
PPI contacted me and said they could help with that problem so they advanced me a part, I installed them and then I sent my cores back. So the car wasn't down more then a day.
i'm not sure if Buschur changed their policy or not but I heard they offer a core exchange on the double pumper fuel setup and they didn't in the past so maybe they did change their policy on some of those items.

Ok so both is better to do than one at a time.
Sorry you had to retype the other stuff that I read earlier already

Chris, will you be doing anything else with your Evo? Are you practically finished with it?

Are you still going to change your intake to 4 inch one?
Will it affect the MAF if I put 4 inch intake to my HTA35R and just use a reducer coupler on the MAF???

lots more to come, my ultimate goal is 9's...I've just set some bench marks along the way. Right now I'm hunting for high 10's on pump gas through the stock MAS. I have a BR Race FMIC on the way to replace the BR deluxe FMIC which is a bit small for my turbo. I also have a EBC on the way with a remote hi/low boost switch, I plan on launching at low boost to reduce wheelspin and then let it go to high boost once I get into 2nd gear.
In the mean time I'm finishing up the Stealth rebuild so I'll have two cars and saving up for the BR built 2.0L. Once that's in, it'll be time for the 1000cc injectors, twin walbro pumps and race gas to see what I can do with the stock MAS.
After that, I'll likely give the GM MAF-T + Stock ECU a try and find out if the stock MAS and 3" inlet pipe to 4" turbo inlet was holding me back.
After that, BR race head, bigger cams
After that, maybe a bigger turbo

I have a 3" pipe from the MAS and a 3" to 4" coupler to mate to the turbo inlet
You're talking about having a 4" pipe from the turbo to a 3" coupler to mate to the MAS
I'm not sure if one is better then the other...I assume the airflow is going to be effectively restricted to 3" either way.
