Vehicle PhotosDescription:I think there are very very few people on here who don't know the car. It has a huge history being in many magazines and being featured at many car shows. My good friend owned this Evo since it was brand new bone stock back in 2003. Over the years he modified the hell out of it. First started out with the stock turbo and simple bolt ons then moved to a 30R with stock block, then a 35R still with stock block/tranny, then moved to a 37R and stroked the motor to a 2.3l. Got tired of that because with the AEM and laggy 37R driving the car around town was no fun, so he moved back to an 9 turbo on the 2.3. Decided to get rid of the 2.3 short block and get a brand new OEM 2.0 with a 30R. Before the engine was dropped into the car he had the rest of the engine bay painted the same color as the car. Also while the engine was out he had ARP rod bolts installed just for some added safety. While in the shop he had a built shep 5 speed tranny put in. In Fall of 2008 he moved to a new hybrid turbo thats almost the same size as a 35R. Much better then a 30R with gobs more power on the top end. Sold it to me for a very good price and I couldn't resist. Since then I have done the AMS Exedy push style clutch conversion and have put different gears in the car.
