Drives: to the levee, but the levee was dry. And them good ol' boys were drinking whisky and rye. Singing, "This'll be the day that I die"

I've been wanting to trade my 360 for a PS3 for awhile.
Got the 360 when GTA IV came out and I barely played it; prob around 2 weeks total. Then I let my friend borrow it for about 7 months and I got it back when Street Fighter 4 came out which i played for 2 days then stopped.

Is there anything wrong with getting a used PS3? I usually like to get new stuff but a new PS3 is still too much for me.

Nothing wrong with it. My brother plays my XBOX, the last time i played it was when Gears of War 2 came out. Get one from GameStop, they usually have ones that are in good condition. And i believe u can get a warranty from them too.

Used is fine. If you're getting an old one (not the new Slim), shoot for a 20g or 60g model. They have PS2-compatibility (meaning you can pop in your PS2 games and play them), and you can put in any size SATA (standard laptop size) harddrive for super cheap (I got a 320g HDD for $70 or so).

New "must get" games:

Uncharted 2 - best PS3 game ever. Seriously, it's that good.

Modern Warfare 2 - biggest game release ever (pre-orders show it's going to outsell Halo 3 for biggest seller EVER). And I need some PSN buddies to frag with.

might look into MW2.

I seriously hope the fight will take place in DC as in the "Infamy" trailer.

Dude, the new trailer shows you IN SPACE. The White House ain't nothing compared to that.

Also, YES YOU SHOULD GET IT. As long as you like FPS, you're gonna have fun. The campaign will probably be amazing (MW1 had the best campaign of any FPS I've ever played), and the 2 different multiplayer modes are looking very fun.

Who can turn down fully-functioning night vision goggles? (well, me, but that's beside the point!)

Well duh. But aren't all toys? The Collector's Edition Altair minifig sucked (and my cat stole and hid it, but I digress), so I spent $20 on eBay to get a figurine of Altair that sits next to my TV. Also a waste of money. Or the Uncharted: Drake's Fortune pen holder on my desk. But I like them.

Incidentally, I'm not getting the NV goggles. But I would love to if I had spare money. If only to terrorize the cat or something.
