Modern Warfare 2 **the thread** - Page 2

It was kinda the same for me. I LOVED playing COD4. When COD WaW came out I didn't like it as much but it was still a lot of fun. Then I got used to the maps and everything and started to love playing it.

Now when I get on COD4 it feels slow/sluggish and I don't like the maps as much.

Personally, I agree with this, but at the same time, when someone will say MW2, I'll still think CoD because everyone who is interested in it should probably already know that it originated from the series. So, it's really not that big of a loss.

IMO, if you can only get a lot of kills when in a tank, you aren't that good and should **** talk other players. LOL

But ya, if they do put vehicles in MW2, I really hope they let the players vote BEFORE a match starts to use them or not.

I can only get a lot of kills in a tank, but I still talk smack to everyone. But then again, I'm Smackies, so I'm allowed.

I'm better at WAW then MW.i dont know why, i have a better k:d ratio as well

I agree with keny....i love the maps on WAW more than the modern warfare maps, i especially like the new map pack , perfect balance IMO.

I will place my preorder on this game when it gets closer to november

i wonder what the story line is going to be,

It does make sense, but I suspect it goes further than that - brand identity. Call of Duty is an epic name, but it's an epic name in WWII, mostly. So it'd be easy for IW to pump out MW games and start a new series that people love.

Infinity Ward - Modern Warfare title every other year
Treyarch - Call of Duty title every other year

Which would be insane, since IW was the company that started CoD IIRC.......

I wouldn't mind them doing this at all because it would be fun to see how they would top each other each year and since I love both style of games I wouldn't have a problem jumping back and forth.

Well, we already jump back and forth. Activision has it alternating between Treyarch and Infinity Ward already. Just weird if IW doesn't do WWII games anymore.

Well I for one am pumped about this game and I can not say that for any other game really besides Fallout 3. I am pretty sure I will be taking the day off. I am sure IW will bring this up to a whole new level but, there is just one thing I hope they will not do and that is vehicles. Now I realize they are a part of warfare but, I think it just takes away from this being a shooter game more than anything. I thought that brought WaW down a notch for what the game should have been.

i think both WAW and MW was a good game, they both have their good and bad. In WAW i think it takes more bullet to kill a person in normal TDM, but in MW i can get kills much easier, that's why all i play is HC TDM on WAW now. as for MW2, people will not like it as first, just like how i was towards WAW, i've never liked WWII games but WAW changed my mind about it. Hope they release some game play!

I'm 100% with you on that. I know the tanks aren't that hard to kill if you have the right setup and everything but even then, I really wish that they weren't there. When I play TDM I normally get the top 1 or 2 spot for kills, but when I have to deal with a tank on my ass and people talking **** about how good they are when in a tank...it just pisses me off. ANYONE can be good in a tank. Don't brag about it **** smoker.

Also, if they DO but tanks into MW2, I hope that they'll let the players do a quick vote before the match starts to allow or not allow tanks in that match.

IMO they did not mess up the guns. When the demo came out I remember everyone saying how the bolt action rifles were not as powerful as they should be and by the time the game came out they had a patch to fix that. But everyone else feels the same way that all the other WW2 games that I have played feel.

You have to remember that the guns from back in the day don't work as well as the guns of today. The guns in MW were all done really well but that isn't so hard to do when all of the guns they use are so accurate to start with.

But making the guns in WaW harder to use makes the came feel more real to me.

I agree. But I don't want it to feel "real." I want it to be fun. When you suck like I do, you just want to be able to hit a guy and have him die. Not be fine and you lose yet another kill (yes, the assist points are nice, but my K/D ratio really sucks because I'm still using pretty low-level weapons and guys just absorb a whole clip and run away).

i cant friggin wait for this game to come out. In my opinion WAW isnt as good as modern warfare the maps are cool yeah, but everything seems so cluttered and dark (no its not my tv settings). modern warfare was much clearer
