Any body got an idead when the 2009 evo will be in dealerships?

I recently sold my 350z and decided to get an evo so i guess that means i share the same passion that everyone in this forum shares, the love for the evo. Well i went to the dealership and i asked for a 2009 evo since it is almost novermber i thought they would have the 09 models in stock, also because the lancer ralliart is a 09 model, but to my surprise they only had 08 models, the sales guy told me he did not have any idea when the 09 model comes out. I really want my evo x but i dont want to buy the 08 because i dont think its much of a wait till the 09 model comes out. What do you guys think is it coming out soon, or is it not coming out any more????? any noticable changes to the car?

I was in the same situation. I heard the 2009's are comming out around march, so I was going to wait for the 2009. The dealer told me the only difference was going to be the rear tail lights.
Then Mitsubishi offered 0% financing for 60 months so I decided to pull the trigger.

Is that for the Ralli Art or the Actual EvoX? ..or Both?

the ralliart that is out right now is a 2009 model, but the evo gsr and mr are 2008 and the dealers have no idea when the 2009 evo model will come out. i dont want to risk buying the 2008 model right now and then to see the 2009 models next month, but i do need to buy a car before january so i dont know what to do.

I've been told end of Feb and also May, so most likely not widely available till May.

Go with the 2008 evo. I would say february at the earliest for the 2009 models, and if you need a car before january im pretty sure the 09 evos wont be out by then. There are practically no differences except taillights between 08 and 09.

i dont understand why mistubishi waits so long to get the 09 model out?? its ridiculous. But yeah i may have to buy an 08 model.

there is no 09 model coming out if anything the new model lines of evo will be in 2years.

but still wont they offer them as 09 models? i mean its weird to buy a car in june 2009 and it would be a 08 model dont u think?

Yes they will offer a 2009 model... only that's still an X... maybe dunkafunk23 is talking about a higher evo version, like the XI but that's not even in the talks right now (at leat nothing has leaked out)...

The Lancers got a retune for 09, I expect the Evo to get bit of a better treatment also... rent yourself a car for a month or two lol, and see what comes up.

I'm pretty sure that since they took them to Puerto Rico we can be expecting them in the near future.

You should buy an '08 for two reasons

1 - you can get great deals on them right now! the car market is hurting, and YOU can benefit!

2 - 0% financing! this might (probably won't) be available in March '09, and may not be available on the '09 Evo right away.

ok one more.... 3- there will be no noticable differences between the '08 and '09 model, except for maybe the tail lights. and you can do those for $350 if you really wanted.

The '09 models may arrive in Feb - March, but not all areas will have them. It will take another month or two to get them plentiful across the country.

somebody just posted a pic of 09 evo X, its the orange color (like the ralliart) with the black taillight, audio controls on steeringwheel, etc) unless its a joke

i got an 09 Lancer back in May of this year, its like having a future/current model year car for 2 years! haha its great

The '09 EVO X has already been released here in Hawaii. I was at the dealer getting my Recaro's replaced and I saw the '09 EVO X MR in the show room. Nothing different except the taillights.
