Drives: 2006 Evo IX Mr GG

mitsu you want an advice for the XI!

- Make it as light or lighter than IX
- A REAL Six Speed Transmission (no twin clutch garbage <- IMO)
- A Rear Wiper
- Include a standard boost gauge

and i think that would be it! =)

The 4b11 is proving to be quite potent, although perhaps not as robust as the iron-willed 4g63, the on/off persona, and the peaky nature of the 4g63 leaves some areas of the motor falling short. despite this bi-polar operating behavior, I prefer a 4g63 over a 4b11 simply because the 4b11 just doesn't seem lively enough, even though it might be.

If I wanted a limp feel, and a smooth linear power band, I would have stuck with a Honda, or maybe a Buick of sorts.

I love the x mr tranny they just need to make it stronger and a rear wiper would be great. The boost gauge is not that great of idea because they will not make it good for like 30 psi so you will need a new one regardless (like the mitsu spiders). Oh and lighter is a must.

well... since mitsu will no bring anymore Evo X for 2009... arn't yals all who bought the evo X worried that they might pull off what they did with the IX, were they only produced it for a single year and then decided to call the next one the X? arnt yals worried since this is a whole yr time that they can take their time to make the next New Evo while keeping the 4b11 engine? the vendors who make parts would stop making parts for the X and then they would focus on the XI...

i was about to buy an 08 thinkin that it would be good idea since its a yr old and i could get a better price but once i knew that non would be brought for 09 then i stopped n worried! arnt any of yals worried as well??

If i was Mitsu, for the next evolution, i would add another 300lb of weight, keep the power the same as now, and add more comform and luxury items to compete with lexus, cause apparently thats the new target competitor,

oh and of course i would raise the base price to like $50k or so.....
