With the Paris Motor Show only a few weeks away, we're ready and waiting for all the surprise announcements and teaser photos sure to come our way. Today's Paris show strip tease comes from Mitsubishi, who will be bringing several new and updated models to Paris, including this mystery car pictured above. All we know at this point is that it will be there.

What we do know is that Mitsubishi will be showing a new Lancer Sportback, a five-door hatchback variant of Mitsubishi's most popular model. Also from the Lancer family will be the European premiere of the 240PS Lancer Ralliart in both sedan and five-door hatchback forms. Racing fans will be treated to the official unveiling of Mitsubishi's latest Racing Lancer, its entry for the 2009 Dakar Rally. This year's entry will be modeled after the Lancer Sportback and feature an all-new 3.0L turbodiesel V-6.

Ugh, enough with the VW/Audi front ends for all the cars. I bet its just the colt. I'm embarrassed for them, they seem like complete poseurs now. In the least update the rear to match. I heard that mitsubishi designers don't consider the rear end an important aspect to the car (BMI video EVO XI). Current = F.O.B. funky japanese styling. Its in the same lines as their weird horror movies, weird japanese anime characters, and weird gameshows.

As much as I hate that crossover, at least they bring the hood all the way to the front and got rid of the cheap plastic present on the Lancer and Evo.

Uh....okay. I was merely stating their current cultural tendency towards the wacky side of things. At least I don't use the word Jap which seems to be quite common in the web community when referring to them.

In addition, I did not say it was a bad thing either, it was just an illustration of mind set and nothing else. It just happens that their corporate nose just comes off a bit too copycat and placing it on every car even though the proportions just don't work for the body makes for a weird looking car.
