EVO 10 GSR AND MR OPTIONS FOR THE US... not a question, info inside...

1. The 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X will come to the U.S. in two trimlines: The GSR & the MR.
A. The GSR will only be available in a 5 speed manual gearbox.
B. The GSR will come in one of two ways: Base A00 package and a 'sight, sound & wing' A04 package.
a. The GSR will be available in 5 colors:
i. Wicked White
ii. Cool Silver
iii. Rally Red
iv. Graphite Gray
v. A GSR-only Octane Blue (which replaces Electric Blue and is not as metallic)
b. The A00 package GSR will come with halogen headlamps and the MSRP is priced at $35,000~
c. The A04 'SSW' package will add on HIDs, a 650 Rockford sound system and the rear wing spoiler. No detail on cost.
C. The MR will only be available in a TC-SST transmission.
D. The MR will come in one of two ways: Base A06 package and an 'luxury' A11 package.
a. The MR will be available in 5 colors:
i. Wicked White
ii. Cool Silver
iii. Rally Red
iv. Graphite Gray
v. An MR-only Phantom Black (which replaces Tarmac Black and has gold metallic flake in it)

Mitsubishi is looking for the sales leader to be the 'SSW' GSR. They are also looking at the median household income of a GSR buyer to be around $90k and the MR buyer to be around $112k.

Ouch..and here I am fresh out of college making 40k/year tryin to figure out how to finance for an MR when it comes out. Looks like I'll be taking one hell of a loan. (That or waiting for a price drop..but...where's the fun in that?)

Thanks for posting this, but can you give us the source. I have to question the authenticity of the price points because you just post rounded numbers, plus I think it's overpriced. Also, where is the White Pearl for the MR.

the ones in bold should be STANDARD for both the MR and GSR editions. What the fck is this ****.

which EVO X pic had a sunroof? From what i've read all of the Evos X's will have aluminum roof, and the Evo 8 and 9's without the alum roof only had sunroof option. Not sure if the aluminum can support a sunroof.

If these number are true (and I do hope they're not) then the X will be way out of my budget. I was planning on spending no more than $32k otd. I may look at the STI then or maybe the 07 350Z if I get the inkling to trade up to a new car. What a difference a few years make. When the 03 EVO8 came out, the MSRP was around $28k which was attainable by most car enthusiasts.

Manuals would NOT have a FAST Key system.
