What makes the evo X lap better than an evo IX
I know that the evo X has sawc and the other gizmos but does the stiffer chassis itself help it lap a track faster due to its less flexing chassis. I bet the Evo X will have a more aggressive weight tansfer making it have more aggrresive shocks. Maybe I am missing something but does the above sound right?

Maybe it has stickier tires? The tires are 10mm wider per corner, though.

the "world car" evo X is faster than the "US" version Evo IX on a lap course but not the straights. But it is definitely slower than the UK or Jap versions of Evo IX's.

it's not the tires and it's not the chassis. the tires are incrementally wider but it's also heavier, so it's a wash. the evo was already stiff so there isn't much to gain there. the real difference is the s-awc. if you want to see the difference electronic gadgets can make as far as handling is concerned, watch the top gear episode where the test the pro-drive concept car. with the electronic diffs off, it washed out on their skidpad around 30 mph. however, with the diffs turned on, old jc had to stop the car before it reached its limits because he had to toss his cookies lol. good stuff.

It has SAYC, 18 inch wheels, stiffer chassis, and it's making more power than our USDM Evos. At first I hated the design, but it has finally grown on me. Hopefully the motor is just as potent as our beloved 4G63.

They may have stated that it was a USDM Evo IX but they never once said that the UK or JDM EVO IX was faster. You are just making assumptions.

FYI: the UK and Jap versions of the evo IX/IX MR are super fast than the US ones.

It also has more HP and TQ than the IX. Not a lot but it does have more.

didn't you guys know this? that what we have is a watered-down evo IX and the X barely made it?

the JDM X will undoubtedly be slower than the UK's FQ versions but then again the X will get its own FQ versions.
only time will tell.

Well it looks like all you have to do is search how a JDM Evo IX does against a USDM Evo IX. I know I'll put my money on the JDM one to be much more faster.
