2008 Evolution boost pressure

Has anyone found the stock boost pressure that the new car will be running?

I am curious to see how much tuning room there is with the new motor.

Wow that coolant line is LOOONNGGG. It has a huge intake tube too. It is good to know mitsu managed to turn a relatively easy to work on motor into a clusterf*ck.

I dunno but my guess would be around 20 psi. Its pretty obvious, 4 cylinder, high output= enormous amounts of boost.

I was actually hoping they used a slightly larger turbo with lower boost (maybe 17-18psi) from the factory.....that way there would be more headroom for tuning.

The higher 9.0:1 compression is going to limit boost but nothing a little water injection can't fix.

I saw at least 2 cats on there too. Straight exhaust tubing will be sure to add 20+HP

One of them looked like a resonator,i wonder how hard it will be to do a downpipe there might be a bunch of crap in the way being that it is close to the firewall.

It's funny how we are already thinking about what needs to be upgraded. Should be a fun car

given the turbo location...i'm wondering how difficult it will be to squeeze a 35R+ sized turbo in there.
