The spoiler is like that for a reason, not for visual appeal.

yes, im not a moron thank you. if mitsubishi was a competative factor in the wrc i would agree with you, but since they can barely even score points it would appear that the minimal time that the spoiler may or may not shave off makes very little difference. not only does mitsubishi lose rallies, but they slap on ugly parts like that spoiler to make me almost completely lose interest in what they are doing or "trying" to do.
and if the spoiler is so great why don't the other companies use it?
answer: its ugly and their time is better spent investigating more important performance issues.
i stand by my initial statement.

i was referring to the placement of the spoiler how it is off set towards the rear windshield instead of the back of the car. if you thought i was referring to the actual shape of the spoiler than we are arguing over separate issues and i apologize. anyway, i think jippy took my comment too seriously and so did the rest of you. let's drop this. i dont want this to get out of control and distract from the purpose of the thread as many topics tend to do.
that being said, im not crazy about the new mitsu rally cars, but at least they're going back to using the evo as the base model. i want to see the old ralliart stripe come back, but i doubt that will happen

placing the sppoiler on the front half of the trunk has been done by mitsu in their rally cars for quite a whoile
ugly as hell but i'd imagine it works

Awesome news!
For those wondering about S2000 v.s. Group N:
S2000: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_2000
Group N: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Group_N
The short answer is: If your company doesn't produce a car suitable for Group N4 (and that's the case for everybody but Mitsubishi and Subaru), you can produce S2000 cars that are supposed to have similar performance to the N4 cars.
