Cool as $hit!
The car I'm waiting for. The era of cheap oil is over, long live electric! And is leading the way. Cool! Not to mention, in-wheel motors will kick ass in handling over any combination of transmission/ACD/AYC. Get rid of the ICE, transmission, ACD, and front and rear LSDs, replace them with 4 electric motors and some light batteries, and an electric EVO could be lighter. And we all know what lighter means in terms of handling.
For anyone that doubts cheap oil is gone, consider that world demand is around 84 million barrels a day, and world supply is almost exactly the same. And demand is rising faster than supply, and that's assuming supply can even keep rising, which is a very iffy assumption.

If you don't have an account, type in dailykos in both fields.

Their point is not that we are running out of oil, per se; although as much as half of the world's recoverable reserves are estimated to have been consumed, about a trillion barrels remain underground. Rather, they are concerned with what is called ''capacity'' -- the amount of oil that can be pumped to the surface on a daily basis. These experts -- still a minority in the oil world -- contend that because of the peculiarities of geology and the limits of modern technology, it will soon be impossible for the world's reservoirs to surrender enough oil to meet daily demand.

is moving in the right direction, in my opinion. Wait 'til you see next summer's gas prices.

i'm sure in a few years they'll improve a lot on it and the top speed will be even higher, maybe there'll be some sorta compromise in the motors with torque vs top speed. maybe i'll be driving something like this in 20 yrs or so. the only thing i'll miss from the combustion engine is the sweet sound of exhaust and turbo spool. this reminds me of that Nike 2090 or whatever car from GT4
