The term 37R isn't actually a Garrett part number but refers to a Precision 67mm w/ P-trim wheel. The new Precision part numbers are much easier to translate as the first two numbers assign the compressor wheel inlet diameter and the last two the outlet of the turbine wheel. The 6265 would then be a 62mm compressor and 5mm smaller than a "37R" and is rated to 685hp instead of the 800hp rating on a 67mm P-trim (37R).

The new 67p trim is a 6765 and i am pretty sure its the identical turbine wheel to the 62's.. Its a 5mm larger compressor wheel with the same size turbine.. only difference is 6765 is not billet.. More peak power but not the same spool is my guess..

John,
I know that two more should be in transit any day per Precision (one would be yours, John), and we have a bunch more pending for stock

just so there isn't any confusion on the difference between the two turbo's here is a quote from a post I did distinguishing the two.
not meant to hijak the thread, just to inform people
The AMS GT850R is NOT the 6265
Let me give you a little back story on this turbo that I think will help clear up some confusion:
We tested many turbos here in house and came upon a clear winner, what is now the GT850R.
When we finally decided on the current combination of CHRA, Turbine housing and specific anti surge compressor cover we placed our order for 25 of these turbos. At this point there was no name for this turbo. In fact it wasn't until over a week after we ordered this batch of turbos that Precision Turbo even gave this turbo a name.
So when we released it to the public there was no name for this turbo. Considering it had no name and that it was a very specific combination of our selected compressor cover and turbine housing we decided to name it as such. Thus the GT850R was born.
This brings us to present date......what is the GT850R???....quite simply it is its own turbo due to the uniqueness of how it is ordered and assembled.
If you want to break it down even farther than that it’s a 6262 CHRA with a specific Anti-surge compressor cover and turbine housing. The results are great as we have reported. Spool up just barely later then a GT35R and more power than a 37R......Sign me up!
I hope the clears up any questions on this turbo
Eric
They are close but slightly different.
