Spray this on your brake rotor and rinse with water after 15 seconds of foam. Whalla no more squeaking. It's proven and it'll only cost you $6 taxed at Murrays or any auto stores that carry car washing products. I accidentally fell upon this washer as a solution to fixing my squeaky brakes as that I originally brought this product just to clean my rims. But during the washing process I noticed when I sprayed it on my rims of course the excess spray will get onto the rotor. I was ehhh no harm no foul, continue to spray all the rims then clean with a hose. After its all dry I took my car for a spin and the squeak is gone. I been driving my car for 1 and a half week so far and the squeak never came back. I think all you need to do is clean the brake dust off the rotor and this liquid seem to do well. Do yourself a favor and go out and try it. I guarantee it'll work, if it is still squealing then you probably have worned out pads. I have 15k miles on my car on stock pads and I drive in Chicago stop and go traffic. My pads are still good and now the squealing is gone thank god. {thumbup}

Hey everyone!

I recently purchased a 2010 Lancer Evolution MR Touring.

The car is great and comes with 18' forged BBS wheels and 245/40/18 summer performance advans.

However with the upcoming winter and the impending snow, I know I wil l have to upgrade tires, as summer rubber won't cut it, even for light snow/moderate to heavy rain.

I am going with a set of Continential extreme contact DWS, as they have best in class light snow grip for an all season, and seem to do well with rain as well:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tl5iNU84vKY

But my question is this:

For those who live in northern snowy climates;
1)does the salt damage the wheels
2) Should I buy a seperate set of wheels for winter, or are the stock ones ok, (I would love to save some cash if possible)
3) If I buy a separate set of wheels and don't buy TPMS, will there constantly be a message covering my color display?

Your feedback is appreciated. {thumbup}:mitsu:

I have 7,000 miles on my Advans, but they have plenty of tread left on them.. one of them has a little spot of rubber torn on the side, but it obviously didn't go through the tire and could likely just be rubber cemented into place. I don't have any pics of how much tread is on them, but can some give me an idea of what I could get for them and also what the best tire for my current needs are?

Okay guys...I'm looking to purchase a new set of rims for the evo x....here is my dilemma

I'm looking to get a set of Enkei RPF1s or PF01 (when they release)....the problem is, Enkei makes some weird offsets...its either ET15 or ET35...nothing in between....

now I understand keeping it a close to stock offset will retain the natural balance of the car and avoid problems with scrub radius changing and what not....this is my ultimate goal...I'm not looking to slam my bi+ch and run some 18x10.5 ET15 or something along those lines...I'm way past the flush/aggressive look....I'm just looking for some performance and ultimate grip while keeping the natural balance of the evo x

I am HOPING enkei PF01 18x9.5 ET35 will clear the stock front brembos....supposedly its more bbk friendly than RPF1s....but who knows, we gotta wait until someone test fits it....this is what I really want to go for...since the RPF1 18x9.5 ET38 does not clear the stock brembos....

IF the PF01 ET35 offset does not clear brembos....I am left no choice but to go super aggressive at ET15....I know these will clear but I am worried about losing some handling with such an aggressive offset....

Can someone chime in on their experience from going stock to super low aggressive offsets? Did it really disturb the balance of the car? The looks are nice, but my ultimate goal is to make the car more faster....not make my car "look" nicer...

thanks in advanced!
