OK, I've done a good bit of searching in this forum for info on which lower braces work well but provide some extra clearance for aftermarket downpipes. This is one of the few subjects that doesn't seem to have a lot of info on this board.

I've got an 06 Evo IX with a Megan 3" DP (new style for ACD, no flex coupling). Best I can tell from scanning search posts, the RMR underbrace is the only one folks have indicated really has much extra clearance over OEM. My OEM one is buzzing making me nuts :helpme:

What about the Tanabe? Cusco? Works? etc. What have you guys tried that works with 3" DP's?

We should really have this info in a sticky since it is something I'm sure most Evo owners have run into.

I also understand that winter tires are made for winter using different materials, but my question is are the stock OEM tires worse in the cold/snow than other aftermarket summer tires?

Does anyone have an accurate measurement of the suspension travel for a stock Evo non-MR?

I would be interested in a full droop to full compression and/or a static height to full compression measurement.

Thanks!

I went curb hunting just last week and jacked up the left rear. Anyway, through my car on the alignment rack and my rear camber was at 2° and toe was at nearly 3°. I was able to adjust camber to 0°3'* and toe at 1°50'*. Camber is out of spec a bit and toe is way out. I do have some bent parts somewhere, I'm thinking the lower control arm.

But to get to my question... Can that much toe out and off camber cause the rear end to "float?" When I was on my way home, I made left to right quick turns, just to verify the cars reaction. Rear end feels like it floats. Could my current alignment be the verdict?

I was just gonna swap out my sway bar, and as i was removing my old one i was having some difficulty. I completely unbolted it from the car, but when I tried to remove it, it either got stuck on the suspension components above, or the exhaust below. I know it should be way easier, so I must be doing something wrong. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
