Thus it was time for a stereo upgrade to this pig. My limitations were - I was going to use the stock sub box from the SSL, and that I was not going to modify anything else in any form.

The break down includes:

AMP: KICKER 08ZX700.5
Tweeters: Stock
Front: Polk Audio db651s
Rear: Polk Audio MM651
Sub: Polk Audio MM840(single 4ohm coil)

Just curious what any one in the car audio world thought. I worked with about 4 people to come up with the combo, and spoke a lot with a shop back home that will be doing the install. I got everything for $675. So I consider it to be a deal. Just cant wait to listen to it in action.

This is my first time really dealing with car audio that didnt come from walmart. =) The dsm didnt deserve anything better.

Now I also have a Sirius subscription and thought, well if im going to upgrade to a touch screen double din, ill also find one that plays satellite radio.

OK heres my question, Do they make touch screens that are satellite ready, or is all of them satellite ready and i have to buy a external box of some sort?

I want: 7" screen, CD, back up camera input, (dvd would be nice), and sirius
Is all this possible with a generic brand unit?

I'm tired of having to splice/tap into existing wiring for things like my gauges, ebc, and wideband. I've used ad-a-circuits, and love em for simplicity, but I'm looking for something cleaner and allows for easy expansion in case I add more electronics.

I was thinking of using a terminal block and putting it in a plastic box, drill some holes in it for running wires through, and mount it somewhere accessible. This way I could just have a post for constant power, switched power, ground, and dimming power if I so chose. Then if I want to add other things later, all I have to do is pop the top off, and add the new wires to their respective posts and call it a day. This would also simplify fuses.

Before I start custom building something, is there anything that will fit the description of what I'm planning already in production? Also, is it ok to power my distribution system from the fuse panel with add-a-circuits (using correct gauge of wire, and fuse)? Or should I pull power from somewhere else? Thanks!

I would like ipod and sirius ready as options. BT is not super important but a nice to have. I am not a huge fan of the Kenwood stuff either. but I am open to all suggestions. I would like to keep it under 300 bucks. Thanks.
