I ordered the MAP V3 intake manifold and V2 exhaust manifold portings through Adam over the summer. Everything went good with sending out the cores and etc. When I got them, they were a beauty to look at. IMO it was worth every dollar spent! I posted a picture at the time the V3 intake manifold.

Thanks again to Adam and MAP crew.
Edit: Just found a thread on my latest 91oct / E85 tune. Enjoy!

*EPIC Motorsports:* First off, Robbie and Jason are the heat. They do absolutely everything they can to help me reach my goal.

EPIC Motorsports: First off, Robbie and Jason are the heat. They do absolutely everything they can to help me reach my goal. Laid back guys, yet hard working, they have a real passion for motorsports. Jason has done quite a bit of slaving on my car. The day before the shootout drag day my clutch TOB clip popped out of my Exedy Twin and he was all over it immediately. That night he and a few others labored until 1AM to get my car done. A real determined group!

The facility has a Mustang Dyno and it doesn't lie. I say this because there are Mustang Dyno's out there that post numbers that are attractive, but don't equate to real world performance. If you take your car to EPIC, you're going to get HP and TQ numbers that are real and accurate. For example: My car made 460WHP and 400WTQ, then we made a drag pass on it and ran a 11.25 @ 123MPH. The day before the track day, we made 10 more WHP and ran a 11.23 @ 125MPH. That, my friends, tells you the dyno is actually creating load and simulating track conditions just like the real world. It was crazy how close the dyno was at predicting our times.

Bobby@EPIC (Crewdawg130): Quite simply, he's done everything for me. He's been my friend, my mechanic, my tuner and my drinking buddy. Upon meeting him, you'd think he's your average C-130 Aircraft technician in the airforce, but after seeing his Evo VIII he tuned, seeing the 500+WHP engines he's built and tuned, seeing his 9 Sec. beetle and seeing his skills driving down the dragstrip, you'll see there's more to him than just serving the country. Bobby is a highly talented man who has a high value of loyalty toward his peers. I don't know what else to say. You can't go wrong with this guy.

STM Tuning/Motorsports: The whole crew from STM showed up at EPIC and blew everyone away with the quality and craftsmanship of their "Ricer" Evo. It's one thing to see pictures, but it's another to see a passionately built Evo in person. The pictures don't do it justice, ladies and gentlemen. It is a finely crafted automobile.

Anyway, Emery and the rest of the STM staff were great. Very humble and professional people. We all had a great time, but when the track day came around, everyone meant business. This is proved by the times that the STM cars posted. Everything from a built semi-drag car running 9.75 @ 150MPH to a real street, stock block, Evo VIII RS running 10.79 @ 130MPH (which is my goal, btw :)).

I bought STM's Exedy clutch stop for less than $100.00 and we ran my car all day without a single problem. Before, the clutch clip popped out on the first pass we made on the dyno. I refused to continue running that clutch unless there was a real solution out there that would prevent me from having to spend money on repositiong/replacing the TOB clip. That solution was STM's Clutch Stop. I couldn't be happier with it. :) Thanks STM.

Force-Fed Performance: These guys are local, and I don't know what I'd do without them. For me it all started with James@Force-Fed. He took care of my transmission swap from an OEM 6MT to a Shepherd Racing built Ultimate Ratio 5-Speed. He changed that, added stainless steel brake lines, changed my clutch, and serviced all my fluids in one day! James is a hard worker and has excellent customer service etiquette. He's just a great guy to deal with.

Justin@Force-Fed has also helped very much in my car's progress. Saturday, he was there advising me (Along with STM and EPIC) on what to do to get my car running Sunday and was invaluable in our progress. He put some elbow grease into getting my car done and with that, I can say for sure that Force-Fed Performance has earned my future business. They are a professional, yet humble, easy to deal with group of guys. I will continue working with them. :)

Tweaker41: Thank you so much for helping with my car. I kept telling you, "You're not getting paid for this, you know." Yet you kept on helping. I know my car wouldn't have ran Sunday without you. Thanks a lot brotha' not only for that, but for spotting me those $80 to buy my clutch stop! LOL.

Okay, so with that, here are the pictures:

Here's me launching into an 11.80 @ 123MPH on street tires, 93 octane:

I recently went shopping for a new exhaust and settled on the greddy comp ti-c. Gave Assaulttech a call on fri the 6th and spoke with Dan, a very nice guy with the subtlest of accents (more pronounced when he gets anxious). Told him of my time constraints, I needed it by next Friday so I could have it on for Saturday. He said confidently "I can make that happen". I placed my order and went into the weekend.
On Tuesday I called to check on a tracking number and Dan told me his supplier was dragging their feet and it wouldn't get to me until Monday. Well that just wouldn't do so Dan went to work to find an alternate source. I called a few more times throughout the week, maybe 20 or 30, and it was always the same run around. Not from Dan, Good news, bad news or no news, he was always straight with me, but from his suppliers. Friday rolls around and no exhaust has been shipped.
I'm on the phone with Dan and he's very apologetic, asks what can he do to make it right. I ask him to check on same day shipping and he says he'll call me back. About an hour later my phone rings and Dan tells me same day'll be $300, "but" he says, "what's your schedule look like today?" He called around to shop, tuner, garage and store within 60 miles of my address and found someone who happened to have one sitting on their shelf.
I drove out to Speed Concepts in beaverton (those guys keep a serious inventory) and picked up my new exhaust.
Anybody can get it right when things go right. That's a given. It's when everything goes wrong, and it's down to the wire and it looks like there is no positive outcome and you steal a victory from the jaws of defeat that you show your colors. That's exactly what Assaulttech performance did and it's because they employ guys like Dan.
Buy stuff from them. They beat prices and they go above and beyond.

I had to send them another turbine housing which took another week to get to them. I was in a serious bind, because I am moving to Florida at the end of the month, and will have no address to ship it to until January. They really helped me out by knocking it out with a quickness, and getting it out to me so I could get it installed and tuned before I drive cross country. Thanks to Scott, Aniel, and A special thanks to Amber for being so patient ;)

I would also like to thank Mikey, and Eric for splitting the Overnight shipping as my going away present, I appreciate it a lot guys!

I was buying hawk pads and got a great deal on them. Unfortunately the rear pads were on back order and i didn't find out till i asked them for a tracking number. I instant messaged kasey and he helped me out right away. I was prepping the car for a track day that weekend and didn't find out that the pads were on back order till tuesday or wednesday. I come home friday night to find the pads on the front door.

I had a smile from ear to ear from disbelief that i got these pads so quickly and writing this review is the only way i can thank the hard working staff at MAP! {thumbup}

So I got my car back from CBRD and it looks great! I cannot say enough good things about them! They are fantastic and I want to thank Chad, Mark and Caleb for everything they have done for me. They let me know about the status of the car through the entire process. I ended up needing a new rad since mine had a hole in it and a new LICP since mine was hacked. They put a lot of time and effort into this car and I really appreciate that. I hope these pictures convey that. They ended up having to redo all the work the previous shop did. But the car looks and feels great!! The car even spools faster now and seems like it has more power then before! It's amazing what a little CBRD TLC can do to a car. I was telling Caleb that my idle is incredible now. Hasn't been this smooth since I got Cosworth M2s installed. Even when I have the AC blasting it's smooth as stock.

So I have been taking my car to STM for over almost 2 years now, and they keep amazing me. This time, My mother drove my car home on Friday last week to get some last minute preps for the NC shootout and dropped it off at STM around 7pm. Emery and crew was there and even though they were working on his car and getting ready for the Shootout in NC he let her drop it off. So come Monday I receive a phone call from Emery stating my new clutch has been installed. Awesome im thinking. Then comes Tuesday afternoon I receive another phone call stating that they were installing my slicks on the car to make sure everything clears. Sweet. Then once they were done (1130pm) i reveive a text from Emery with a picture of them on my car. And just wow they are so sweet looking. And now today (veterans day). Everyone else around more than likely has the day off. Well not STM. I receive another phone call telling me he just finished tuning my car. Final HP # was 423 and tq 351.

Now lets keep in mind this whole week he has been tuning and getting his car ready for its first race this year. While doing that the shop has taken the time to get my car ready also.

It is just amazing at how much communication they kept with me and how great of customer service they have.

Now all thats left is for me to drive this down the track and hopefully get my 10 sec pass all tuned and built by STM.

Thank You to Emery, Cory, Brian, Austin, Shawna, and everyone else in STM.{thumbup}

CCW- Complete Custom Wheels

After looking at a number of different 18x10 wheel options for the IX race car for next season, I decided to check out CCW based on the positive feedback from many here on this board, and to summarize CCW exceeded expecations {thumbup}

I was originally looking at the CCW Classic's due to price point (plus as a bonus they are a sharp looking wheel!) So rather than just taking my order, they did something that is very rare for companies these days...they asked questions.

They asked about the application, how the wheels would be used, my suspension set up, tire size, and potential car upgrades. The last question was critical, as the Classics cannot be used with a BBK if I were to ever consider going to to a BBK (which may be a potential upgrade down the line) I would have to change out wheels! Just that one question saved me a potential financial hit down the line.

They are also very astute when it comes to the Evo and helping with offsets and fitment. So with the Classics off the table, they recommended the C10's. The problem was they out of my original budget but this is where CCW really helped out. They had a leftover set from an order that was in the warehouse and even though the fitment wasn't exact for the Evo, they built custom spacers so that the fitment would be dead on and helped me out with the price.

When the wheels arrived, they were packed like fine china...(seriously!) If you are used to seeing $2500+ "JDM" wheels covered by a piece of fabric and sandwiched between a 1/8" piece of cardboard you'll be shocked when you see how these arrived. CCW packs both sides of the wheels in thick blown in shipping foam. Is it that big of a deal? Maybe not; but it shows that they care enough to take the extra steps. I showed the wheel spacers to the guy that put the tires on and he said that they were "works of art" :D

Even though the C10's are race-purpose wheels and not necessarily "fashionable," CCW has some beauitful styles to choose from for those going for asthetics as well as performance.

When I get a second set of wheels for rain tires before the season starts, they will be CCW's :beer:

All of my questions and concerns were asked was through via private message. They were normally replied back within an hour or half a day at most so I did not need to call them at their office for any reasons.

As a first time customer, i was really well taking cared of and it made my buisness with them more easy and comfortable. I would definitely do buisness with them again and i would recommend them to anyone.

So I purchased the Harman Motive Intake, and let me tell you...ISSUES WITH THIS SYSTEM!!!

I live in Northern California and decided to have the intake installed (as well as a bunch of other things) @ GST Motorsports. Installation was going well until we noticed that the BPV Silicone hoses that were sent with the kit (5x1.5" & 9x1.5') were to large to fit to the BPV (Internal Diameter). The stock BPV Hose has an Internal Diameter of 1.25 and the hoses they sent were well over 1.5" in diameter. Very sloppy and would cause leak. I am very disappointed with this system and would not recommend it to anyone. Def. got a good chuckle around the shop though about it...

We had to hack up the stock BPV Hose to get it to work (luckily there was enough length to do so).

Thought Harman Motive would do a little R&D before selling there "branded" products to the general consumer.:crap:

Here are some pics, just so you can see how bad it was...{OMG}

Had to link the pictures because it attached them in the Harman Motive Thread.
http://forums.evolutionm.net/evox-sa...ml#post7684867

Would like to hear what Harman motive has to say on this issue? The pictures provided for the install were good, but even looking at the pictures taken for the directions looked bad (the hoses themselves looked like they had to be over tightened causing the hose to flare...). To top it off the pics also show the intake with T-Bolt Clamps, but they provide cheap arse worm clamps (not that it really matters though).

MAP custom lightweight steel flywheel is an excellent piece that fit/works perfectly with the QuarterMaster twin disc clutch setup. The clutch definitely takes some getting used to vs. stock and the Spec Supertwin clutches i've previously had. The noise is present, but nothing IMO to complain about. The engagement is on/off and my clutch engages about an inch off of the floor. You can slip it if you wanted to, but that is how you will wear out the discs in a very short time. I can shift as fast as I want and being much smaller/lighter the shifts are like "butter". It has held my 570whp/33+psi of boost with no problems and no break-in....I'm happy with this clutch 100%
