I just dont understand How it seems Our Evo's are just Depreicating by the day, Its sad to say but i dont get how Supra's or Fox bodies (as an example) hold a premium dollar and cars that were going for 25k + used 4 years ago Almost BONE stock are now hitting the low 12k range. In the forsale section Its very upsetting.


I know the Economy is hurting, But i just feel there is someting some in some way shape or form we can do to help this before its to late? I don't know just some thoughts. I mean what other car can you hop into with the Amazing things an evo comes with stock Brembos,Enkei wheels, Recaro seats, the list goes on. And they are not even options!!!

Recently on a trip to New Jersey. My check engine light came on. I pulled over to see if everthing was ok. Checked lines, hoses, unusual sounds, gas cap, Everything. Drove for another 25 miles. It... Have been daily driving my EVO 7 around for about 1 month now. before that it just has been chilling. Recently on a trip to New Jersey. My check engine light came on. I pulled over to see if everthing was ok. Checked lines, hoses, unusual sounds, gas cap, Everything. Drove for another 25 miles. It went off. After a couple days of driving it went on again. I reset the battery to see if that was the problem. After about 35 miles it went on again. I cant pull up a code and get the car scanned because im in Brooklyn,NY and they cant pull up a 2001 Evolution 7 on the autozone computer scanner.(One of the biggest cons of having this car) Im pretty much stuck. I just got into Mitsubishi about 5 months ago so i dont know the basic problems that can occur. Car still boosts great, Runs great, nothing too unusual, car is still idling at around 8-900.

Can someone give me basic ideas of what it can be maybe?

few things ive noticed what is this square box cut out porthole thing to crash beam for? and do all the jdm style bumpers have that? 2nd is it supposed to have a curve to it on the bottom? its not straight across it has a little bubble effect going on. ive tried looking at some pictures on here but i cant really tell. idk if its the bumper or the people who put the bumper on? just want to know cause i want the voltex diffuser to look best.

I want them in the stock location so what are my options? There is NO WAY I'm going to spend $1K on JDM headlights. Did they (:mitsu:), ever make an Evo VIII/IX for the USDM with halogen headlights & fogs? Or is it only HID-equipped cars that came with fogs?

I'm thinking that if :mitsu: made an Evo VIII/IX with halogens & fogs, then I'll just purchase a set of those; throw in my Pilot HID kit on the low beams; buy a Pilot HID kit for the fogs & hardwire the fogs up with an aftermarket switch/relay/etc. & I'll be set.
