Arrow Evodave to the rescue! Evo X owners i have your gauge pod issues resolved

update! i will sell the first 10 for $48 shipped so people will buy them and see how awesome these are

ok guys i got these ready to go. its 20 minutes to install and completely removable . goes in the vent to the left of you and i can make 52 or 60mm slots. These snap right in place when you remove the vent out of the surrount (just pops right out). Its real carbon fiber and super strong and awesome visability . i will have installed pics shortly . here is a teaser. i am only gonna be able to make 20 right now so hit me up quickly if interested. i will have pics for you its literally unreal easy. you don't even have to tear your interior apart....just pod the vent out and install....even wiring will be cake
dave

btw the point of the slots in the design is to allow the flow of air, hot or cold, out around the gauge so the vent is still fully functional

PS i am also working on the ashtray pod setup like i made for the evo 8/9s. It is a week or two away or less.

I'd like to see pics of it installed before I pass judgment. I'm more interested in the ash tray option. I was planning on putting my UEGO somewhere near the ash tray and that might be a good solution.

Max heat + gauge = good idea? I'm just wondering if you thought about the heat blowing by it and whether or not that would be detrimental to the electronics.

The closer you get to the heater core, the hotter the air... and the back of the gauge would be closer than your fingers could ever get without popping a vent out...

nope it effects nothing we have done these in corvettes and audis and other cars just fine all last winter it gets hot as HECK in a car in florida/cali / arizona when the windows are rolled up in the summer outside and stuff is fine.....these items are made for serious heat and like i said it all is fine ...not just saying that we have made sure

I think some install pictures will look quite better.

I just can't imagine that full heat on in the winter on the back of a gauge is good for it....? It would obviously wear it down faster than at the normal temperature.

But either way, props for you for buildling it and thinking of the idea! I'm not bashing it at all!
