The Harman Motive Evo X UICP (Upper Intercooler Pipe) is designed to replace the rubber factory pipe while offering improved response and power. Made from 2.5" 6061 Aluminum and completely mandrel bent (no welds), our UICP offers great looks along with great performance. Unlike the stock piece, our UICP is 2.5" all the way from the turbo-outlet to the intercooler. Furthermore, our unit will not flex/expand like the stock rubber hose offering faster response you can feel! On an otherwise 100% STOCK car (no MBC, no exhaust, nothing), our intake gained 10lb/ft of torque @ 4000rpm and 6whp @ 5700rpm. When combined with the Harman Motive Intake System and turboback exhaust system w/ MBC, gains of 60+ WHP are available.
One of the most important features of our UICP is the ultra-high quality Hose Techniques silicone hose. Ultra strong and ultra flexible, the reinforced hump hose allows our piping to move with the motor for years of trouble free use and no pesky blown hoses! Furthermore, all of our pipe ends are bead rolled for a positive seal.

if all i plan on having in terms of performance mods is a drop in filter and catback no tune, would this pipe be worth installing as well? what kind of gains would it give me?

It would be worthwhile for consistancy, flow, & cooling. You won't see significant gains (just like any modification) without a tune.

what about the install of this, is it possible to reach the mounting/connecting points without removing anything in the engine or the bumper?
