So I purchased the Harman Motive Intake, and let me tell you...ISSUES WITH THIS SYSTEM!!!

I live in Northern California and decided to have the intake installed (as well as a bunch of other things) @ GST Motorsports. Installation was going well until we noticed that the BPV Silicone hoses that were sent with the kit were to large (Internal Diameter). The stock BPV Hose has an Internal Diameter of 1.25 and the hoses they sent were well over 1.5" in diameter. Very sloppy and would cause leak. I am very disappointed with this system and would not recommend it to anyone. Def. got a good chuckle around the shop though about it...

We had to hack up the stock BPV Hose to get it to work (luckily there was enough length to do so).

Thought Harman Motive would do a little R&D before selling there "branded" products to the general consumer.

Here are some pics, just so you can see how bad it was...

I'd really like to hear what Harman Motive has to say about this? Maybe a shipping error on there part (doubtful because the length of the silicone hoses were correct, just the internal diameter was wayyyyy the *&%!$ off)!!!

i guess they sent with the wrong part?(hopefully) because there is people who installed with this intake with no issue...
i was planning to get this intake, now you got me rethink again because of your post...

From what it appears (or is being told to me) is that it was a shipping error, and not how there kit should be.

Its a very nice kit, though the one I received did have some minor flaws (was very disappointed with the some of the minor finishes). The MAF had burs that need smoothing out as well as one of the VAC bungs that are welded into place was set to low into the intake (protruding into the actual intake) when it was welded into place and we had to clean that up as well.

QC issue I'm sure. Hope its a 1/1000 type issue. Wasn't bad for the price, as long as the kit is complete, with the appropriate pieces included.

Update:

Harman Motive contacted the shop in which i purchased the intake through, and will be overnighting the correct hoses to me. They apologized for the inconvenience. I should be receiving the correct hoses by Wednesday of this week.

Glad to see they were willing to correct this (the hose issue) issue.

i have a question on the installation.

from the picture, the hole is much bigger than the hose, how can i connect it?
it is the "Crank case breather line" btw.
any one can help?

Possibly another shipping error? they shipped me the wrong BPV hoses. Call Harman, they took care of my situation (though I haven't actually switched hoses yet).
