bov keeps popping out of my intake =(
first of all. i got my car back because my synconizer ( think thats how you spell it) went out. Well the thing is that the transmission and clutch feels smooth and very nice. The thing is that those stupid shop people were messing around with my intake and boost controller. i have an injen intake upper and lower, and i have a cheap or selfmade manual boost controller. the car is basic bolt on. my usual boosting was 21 - 22 psi. i had to visit them 2 times because everything i visited them to pick up my car, something else was wrong. i told them to fix it.
When it was my 3rd time visiting them. i took it for a test drive, i believe that they turned the boost up because it was at 28 psi. I was very upset. Drove it and when i tried to floor the gas, the bov popped out of the intake. i took it back to the shop. but they acted like they didnt touch anything. So i got really mad, cussed them out, and told them i was telling everybody that this shop was a peace of Dudu!
When i came home, i noticed that the boost controller was loose and it was moving by itself I tried to decrease the boost, but everytime i tested the car( about 8 times), the bov would pop out when i hit about 11-18 psi. when i drive it normally it would run good.
Any idea why this keeps happening. could it be the boost? or what?
sorry for the noob questions.

You are sure that is all the boost you are throwing? You have a gauge? Try upgrading the clamp to a strong T bolt clamp and really secure it down. I don't know why it would go that low with it being fine before. Oh well, if your sure you are only at 18 psi or so then all you have to do is really secure it, maybe they got oil on the silicone or something...

I put small t-bolts on my bov. Maybe try that bro..
Or make sure the current clamps are really tight!

spray a paper towel with some brake cleaner, and then wipe the inside of the hose and the outside of the intake flange. That should get any oil off the parts, and they should not easily slide on each other anymore. Snug down the clamp, and you should be good to go.

Something else too! you think that the vaccum lines on the boost controller could be the reason why its acting like this? just curious?

Do you mean it keeps popping out of your UICP or that it keeps popping out of the intake tube to the turbo inlet?
If it is popping out of the intake tube to the turbo inlet just tighten down the clamp a little more. If it is popping out of the UICP tighten it down well with the stock clamp. I never leaked from that location even with the stock clamp. A t-bolt is overkill right there.
It sounds like they re-routed your MBC vaccume lines. Check them out and make sure it is put in the right way.
I am not exactly sure how you hit 28psi without fuel cut. Have you been tuned? Otherwise that isn't even possible without changing the values on your load tables.

well to be honest. im sure that the car has been tuned. well whenever i went to pick up my car. when i hitted it on 4th gear, the stock boost gauge went pretty far past 1.5 bar. (which is my usual)and it looked like it was pretty close to spiking. and when i looked at the boost gauge, it felt and looked like the boost gauge was tapping or something like that.. the car just went along with with tapping too.
and it was popping out from the uicp. the bov and the rubber part. and tbolt.

Replace the t-bolt clamp with two regular worm clamps. Hit the inside of the rubber tube with a bit of hair spray.

it's funny how many times i've seen this happen. EVOikon's suggestion actually works. It's crazy i know but the hairspray has worked in the past. Just make sure you don't have a bunch of oil in the intake path, typically seen that be a cause. Clean it up well and make sure you feel the bead on the valve seat at the bottle of the inlet and then clamp it down. Doesn't hurt to check it every now and then, too.
