No, they're not. They're smart enough to look at a part that's not OEM and say, "That's not factory. Where is your CARB sticker? I'm writing you a ticket for that and the state referee will have to verify these parts are legal in California."

Okay, that's good to know. Thanks!

Ah, I was confused. That post was referring to a ported stock manifold, which would work. Thank you for pointing that out.

Just seeing all the options. I understand that if I add a complete list of parts I will get max gains. I don't want max gains, I just want the next logical part in the chain.

I did and it left me with a few questions. The guys at AMS were great in explaining the various cam behaviour, which is super useful. The sad part was that it those tests were done on an VIII without MIVEC.

Oh no, I do get it. What I'm asking for is the next best part for the buck.

If your got WOT all the time then you will need to refill your meth all the time. If you drive like a normal person and occasionally fast then your fine
Fair enough. You are right, I have not read too much on the Meth kits, but I will go do that since you have pointed out that I have a few misconceptions regarding that modification.

That's what I was told buy a reputable source, but since I don't have a chart to post I can't prove it. I can post the mods though:

2.3 short block
Stock head w/ cosworth m2 cams
supertech valvetrain
50 trim bb
O2 Housing
FMIC
Turboback exhaust
1000cc injectors

I've been reading lots of other threads and searching trying to find my answers. I think the problem is too much information. Hence the thread that I started. I was hoping it was a simple answer, but that's not the case.

Look, I'm not trying to make anyone upset. I really do appreciate everyone's input and help.

I'm going to post less and read more, since it seems that will help the most.

Moderators please feel free to close this thread.

Look dude like everyone including myself has already stated the lists that I gave is where you need to go with. Mods are done in stages. I told you what your next logical step should be already. After that then you might want cams. Once you have maxed out the turbo with the bolt on mods you might want to go with a bigger turbo but the bolt ons should be done first.

On a evo 9 with stock evo 9 turbo the last thing you want to do is cams. Do the cams if and when you feel like changing the turbo
