Great info, thanks!!!!! Answered just about all my questions. I don't have an Evo.... yet, and this info certainly helped in the decision to start looking for one.

what about a cat-back? i know the whole point is getting rid of the cat to get more power gains but would it be worth it to just to get a cat-back?

im buying a downpipe and test pipe first, then a catback ...

why? because the catback is expensive, and if i look long enough the one i want will pop up used for a good deal

would it be worth it to JUST get a catback? in my opinion, no ... i rather spend it on a just a tune if that were the case ... better $$$ to power ratio that way

thanks a lot. i was just thinking of getting a catback with a downpipe instead of a turboback which is much more expensive

Drives: none i totalled my MKV GTI

I think the real question most newbies really are thinking when getting into the evo world is more which model is the best for ME.

so where is the big gain at .. which is the best model if you wana make fast power and quick speed... and which model is the most finest yesss finest thats a VDUB thing .. a word mistubishi probably dosnt know called refined.... yea its well known in the dubbers world but it also adds over a thousand pounds of weight .. but nothing wrong with a fat girl... just dont let ur friends see ya

This is great!!! Just a quick side note: On the section "What fluids does my Evo use and how often do I change them?" You had a very thorough write-up of the fluids, but no mention of how often to change them. Correct me if I'm wrong but usually it's every 20-30k depending on how often you take it to the track, right?
