Questions about engine
can anyone tell me what the exact horsepower to the wheels is for a manual OZ.
and do you think that a magnaflow freeflow muffler, with no new piping or anything, would give any extra horsepower?

Drives: A little red Neon. I also have a Lancer that presumably still rolls...but doesn't drive.

Approximately 103whp
Perhaps a small amount, but doubtful there would be much of a change due to the fact that the muffler is far less constrictive than the catalytic converters and the piping itself
Moving to the newbie forum since these questions could have been answered by looking around and/or searching.

WHP is about 101-103 on manual OZ stock. With muffler and pipe you'll be looking at around 108-110 WHP. The exhaust is one of the biggest gains for the car. Next is Intake and TB. When i say 108-110 i'm talking full exhaust... meaning header to muffler.

The 6-10 hp that is manufactures claim as gains from their repsective products usually refers to HP at the crank. Not to the ground
