well fellas...i am getting rid of my 2002 Oz this morning. i am trading it in for a 2003 Volkswagen GTI VR6. WOW! Nice car and i found it at a good price. my clutch was starting to go out, my right front brake was starting to go out, and i am just generally tired of the obnoxious yellow color (not to offend anyone, just my personal opinion). the new car is a pewter color with black interior. 200 hp and 195 torque and it only has 48,000 miles on the engine...yeah...$17,000 for a 2003 that sold for $26,000 brand new. not a bad deal in my opinion.

by the way, i am only getting $3500 for my 2002 Oz with 120,000 miles on the odometer. not too bad.

i may still be on here...i will post pictures tomorrow...the dealing got intense and took a little longer and by the time i got home it was dark. check it tomorrow around lunch time, there should be pictures up by then. car is great though. great paintjob, excellent milage, SUPERB POWER, 6 speed manual tranny. AWESOME!

I've never been a real fan of VW's styling, its just not aggressive enough for my tastes. Other than that I've heard more than my fair share of warranty problems on jetta's I doubt your GTI will have any similar problems.

All in all its a nice sedate little car I think you could have gotten more for your lancer OZ but thats just my opinion

sedate little car? smaller than the lancer and equipped with a 2.8l V6 and a 6 speed manual tranny! this car is friggin' awesome!!!! i love it. i also like that i can get 450 miles per tank of gas. very very fun car. sticks curbs. great suspension. i think that all i am going to do to it for right now would be a nice cat back.
