I-Club Has Joined Our Network
Hey Everyone,
I wanted to make a special announcement to let everyone know that I-Club has officially joined our network. The new addtion has been in the works for a while and it's finally done. As many of you know, I-Club was the first and original US based Impreza community. Due to a rocky history it has been out of the spotlight for a while. I think the community has a lot of potential and can be #1 again.
I-Club holds a special place in my heart because it was the first community I ever joined. My goal is to spread the word and try to bring it back to its original state. If you have a Subaru in your stable of cars and/or a Subaru enthusiast, I encourage you to join I-Club . It would great to see some of you on there!
Come and check it out: www.i-club.com

I'm on I-Club, but I haven't posted on the forum in quite some time. They haven't exactly had a good reputation as far as their member-base is concerned. In other words, it's a "NASIOC Jr." The last time I checked (about 2 months ago), I-Club was plagued with nothing but flame wars and asshattery.
Everyone deserves a second chance, so I'll afford them one.

I-Club was the first and original subaru impreza community and has been around a long time. It does have a rocky history but now things are a little different. What ever happened in the past is now the past and with some work we can bring it back to where it used to be. I appreciate you signing up and I encourage more subaru owners or enthusiasts to do the same. With more people joining in willing to help improve things will make the community a better place to be.
The main purpose behind all of this is to provide something different and unique to the subaru community and with I-Club we can make it happen.

Didn't I-Club break off from NASIOC? Hopefully I-Club can revert back to its former ways, which wouldn't be a bad thing.

At one point I believe NASIOC broke off of I-Club to start their own thing due to owner differences. The main goal is to get I-Club back to where it once was and like you said, it wouldn't be a bad thing.

Yeah, NASIOC is a spin off of i-club something like 2 years after i-club was formed. We have great support from the mod staff over there to make it the best it can be and have been working with upgrades.

From my experience I-Club is primarily West Coast, specifically Nor-Cal. I know its not meant to be a region forum, but still.

Yes you are right about that. The member base that is active are more concentrated in Norcal. But that can all change with new members joining. It's already starting to happen.

I-Club will rock as long as you prevent Uncle Scotty from joining in. That guy's a jackass over at NASIOC. I miss the old I-Club. Those were the good ol days.

I used to own a WRX and i-club was the first forum that I joined. I'm DizzyWRX on that forum. So what exactly does i-club joining our network mean to us? Or is this thread just to encourage more people to join i-club?
