06MREvo and Paypal are garbage-OT failed me
Since i'm out 115 bucks and have a worthless control arm, I'm just going to vent here.
First off:
Paypal buyer "protection" is worthless. Some guy can just send you broken **** and you can't do anything about it as long as the seller can prove he shipped you broken ****. Since when does having good seller rating mean that you can never possibly ship something that gets damaged and that you are not responsible?
And the story:
So I buy a control arm from 06MRevo and it arrives with a rip in the spherical bearing. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt in that his rating is good, so he probably didn't try to scam me. I figure this shouldn't be too bad.
But...nope. I contact this prick and he first accuses me of damaging it during installation. As if I could somehow rip it during the installation of a bolt on part. He's automatically not at fault and I have to somehow "prove" to him I didn't try to install it. I tell him no that I did not install it and he then accuses me of trying to SWAP my broken one with his "perfect condition" one.
This one I can prove, so I go under my car, make a youtube video showing him my broken control arm moving in and out as the spherical bearing is broken and allows me movement. "Look idiot! My car is still messed up, maybe he'll come to his senses," I think. But he then gets even crazier, asking me how does he know that car is mine.
Look at me, being a clown, thinking an EvoM member didnt have his head 2 feet up his ass (It also shows his ****ty shipment method.)
Are you serious guy? How hard is this guy trying to ***** out of responsibility.
Assumptions that you would have to make to assume i'm a scammer:
1) A 6 year member of EvoM would be a scammer.
2) I would be so stupid as to mess up an install of a bolt on part.
3) I would be so desperate for cash I would go through all this trouble to get $115.
4) I'm just a straight up *******
06MREvo makes all of these and more! Is he crazy or just an *******? Who knows.

All feedback on both sites is positive. You even posted in your thread that your "other" LCA was torn. How do I not know you are going to try and get your $$ back and send me your "other" LCA??

I have great ebay feedback as well idiot! But you chose to ignore that.

I fully inspected the LCA AGAIN before shipping it to the buyer and there was NO tear. I DOUBLE boxed the product, so there is NO way for it to be "damaged" during shipment. The Fedex box that was INSIDE the brown box is how the original person I bought it from shipped it to me. (So the other guy shipped it to you like that means I'm trying to scam you...ok) There is no proof the "car" in your video is actually yours and there is no proof that you didn't damage the product you brought from me during installation on your vehicle and are now trying to get your money back. Like I said before my feedback on EvoM and Ebay speak for themselves. I don't sell damaged products. My decision to not refund you stays the same.
|
How do I accomplish this if I messed it up during an installation?
Empty unpadded box. But double boxed!!!
Here's his story again. So you shipped it the same way the other guy did? Oh, that must mean vicbdn is trying scam you!

I examined the LCA before shipping it to the buyer and it was in perfect condition with NO tears. The white fedex boxed that was INSIDE the brown box was how the original seller sent it to me. There is NO way during shipping that this product could become damaged. The white fedex box was small enough that there should have been little to NO movement of the LCA during shipment
I never said that in the buyer's video the car was not an evo. I said there was no proof that it was the buyer's car. I did not appreciate the buyer harassing me through 2-3 PMs about the LCA. A PM about his "proof" should have been enough but because I was NOT on my computer all day I receive PMs about me ignoring him and so on. I replied to him via Paypal as soon as I saw his PMs.
I have sold a large variety of products on EvoM and Ebay (Bmxkingbj). My feedback has been perfect on both since 2002. I have also done over hundred transactions on Paypal and they have all gone smoothly. ( Wow bro! Over 100!) I DO NOT & WILL NOT sell damaged products. I do not have a lot of feedback on EvoM but it has all been PERFECT till this transaction. The buyer only has 1 piece of feedback on EvoM. From now on I will not sell to someone on EvoM unless they have at least 5 positive feedbacks. I was trying to help a fellow EvoMer out by selling him a perfect condition LCA with NO tears and this is what I get in return? (well aren't you a saint)

Moral of the story:
1) Don't buy from 06MREvo, cuz he's a prick and will not man up to his problems.
2) Having good feedback means you can self delude yourself.
3) Having good feedback means you can provide terrible customer service.
4) Paypal doesn't protect you from ****.
I mean seriously........."the car isn't mine" ?.....
Why do I have so much time to write this up? I'm a senior accounting student. That's right 06MREvo, a chinese soon to be accountant is trying to scam you out of 115 bucks. You are a master detective.

That sucks... I have never had good luck with paypal being an individual. Having a company account with paypal seems to work great though. Good Luck! I hope you get this issue resolved.

however, I can personaly vouch for 06evomr as he has sold me many parts in the past and has always been very honest about them. He's very active on the forums, and I don't think he would do such a think to ruin his reputation.
Hope things work out for ya!

Scammed by Member Less10
On August 15th, 2009 I worked out a deal with member Less10. I was trading him brand new STRI EGT and Oil Press gauges and a used STRI DSD SLM Boost gauge (I had them listed for a total of $225 on the Market Place) + $35 (to cover shipping costs for the dash). Less10 was supposed to send me a dash pad. I sent him the $35 on google checkout on August 19th. He finally claimed to have shipped the dash pad through Grey Hound almost 2 weeks later on August 31st. The gauges I sent him arrived around August 20th. It is now October 6th and I still do not have my dash pad. I have received excuse after excuse from this guy about why it isn't here, lost in Arizona, my Mom is sick, package is too big, etc, etc.... Today I asked him to just pay me for the gauges that he has had for two months and refund the $35 I gave him for shipping for a total of $260 which was the original amount we agreed upon. He refuses saying I am out of my mind asking for that much.
Bottom line: Less10 is a liar. Do not do business with him. I have also been contacted by another member who was scammed by this guy for a stroker kit on Ebay, maybe he will share his story with Less10 as well.

I didn't try to install it. If it was damaged during shipping or was damaged through his previous seller, it's his fault . Thats the whole issue.

I will respond to this post in a professional manner. The beginning of the transaction went smooth. The buyer (vicbdn) sent payment via paypal and I shipped the product (Perfect condition Rear Lower Control Arm) to him either the same day I received payment or the following morning (which is how quickly I ship all my products, once receiving payment). BUYER received the product on WEDNESDAY and SATURDAY (3 days later) I receive a PM from the buyer saying the perfect condition, non-damaged LCA, some how has a "tear" in the bushing. I don't know about you but when I receive something in the mail I open it up ASAP, I don't wait 3 or 4 days to open it and send a message to the seller. So what occurred during those 3 or 4 days that it took you to open the box?? I saw this buyer posting about the broken control arm on his car. There is no way for me to know that in the 3 or 4 days it took him to message me that he attempted to install the LCA and somehow damaged it or was going to try and send me back his already damaged LCA.
1. Being a 6 yr member of this forum means nothing if you have NO buyer/seller feedback in a situation like this.
2. I have messed up a brand new bolt on part before (I'm sure everyone has at least once) but I blamed nobody but myself and did not try and get my money back from the seller.
3. You must be extremely desperate for cash that you would spend all this time, posting in the Scam alert thread, make a general thread about it, make an off topic thread about this, post in ALL my current FS threads, and post what you have in your sig.
There is nothing wrong with how I shipped the product and no way during shipment that it could end up being damaged. The LCA was inside fedex box which was small enough that the LCA would have LITTLE to NO movement during shipment. Because you can't reuse fedex express boxes I placed it inside another larger brown box. And the boxes were tapped up very thoroughly. I am in sales & marketing for a living and I know the importance of customer service and being 100% honest with your customers. I DO NOT & WILL NOT sell someone damaged products. I have never done it before and I am not starting to now. I had perfect EvoM feedback till this transaction and will continue to have perfect feedback after it. I also have perfect feedback on a couple other car forums and ebay since 2002. Every single paypal transaction has gone smoothly and have been positive. I used to be picky with who I would sell to on Ebay especially if the buyer didn't have at least 5 pieces of positive feedback. I have always given EvoM members the benefit of the doubt and bought/sold products to and from anyone no matter the amount of feedback. This transaction/situation makes me rethink this and not want to sell to someone unless they have 5 positive feedbacks. I inspected the Rear Lower Control Arm before packaging and shipping it to the buyer and it was in PERFECT condition with NO tears. The buyer received the box Wednesday and I have NO idea what he did with the product till I got a PM from him Saturday afternoon/night. I am not refunding $ for a product that I know was in perfect condition and packaged properly when I dropped it off at Fedex. I do not appreciate the harassing and name calling from this member but if thats how he wants to handle it then so be it. Good luck with your future transactions.

Wow straight up lies! I sent payment on the 23rd. You didn't ship it out until the 26th. You really need to stop lying like that. You sure you're 100% honest?
Hrm...payed on the 23rd and shipped 26th. 26-23 = 1?

Your method of shipment did not require signature. I go to school in DeKalb where I have an apartment. My house is in bolingbrook, 50 miles away. It arrives during the week and my mom puts it in the house. Guess what! I don't go and open it until I get home for the weekend. Thanks for making assumptions and not asking, yet again!

I don't know bro, I must have spent 4 days trying to install it and ripped it. That must be the answer.

I posted that the day I pmed you. I got home, opened up the package. It was damaged so I posted thinking someone could tell me it was still good so I wouldn't have to ask for a refund. Are you expecting me not to have a broken LCA on my car already? Why would I buy one from you if mine was perfectly good?

Here's where you make yourself out to be the liar you are. You can fit 4-5 control arms into the box you shipped it with.

06MREvo is 100% honest.

Yea you have no idea what I did with it. But, I've told you 20 times that I didn't do anything with it but you love smelling your own bull**** so much you don't care.
Good work making yourself out to be a liar.

I'm not going to take your BS sitting down, especially after you accuse me of all this **** when you're just a damn moron.
Here's where you make yourself out to be the liar you are. You can fit 4-5 control arms into the box you shipped it with.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPLWeGcZjsk "properly packaged, little to no movement "
06MREvo is 100% honest.
Yea you have no idea what I did with it. But, I've told you 20 times that I didn't do anything with it but you love smelling your own bull**** so much you don't care.
Good work making yourself out to be a liar.

Since you have so much time on your hands you can copy and paste the PM I sent you about I was out of town working in VA the whole week when you sent payment and I told you that I will not be able to ship it till Saturday morning, which is when it was dropped off at Fedex. The ONLY reason I will not ship a product out the same day I receive payment or the following morning is if I am out of town for work and I will make sure the buyer knows this.
How am I supposed to know where and how far away from the shipping address you gave me that you will be? I am not a mind reader. I have never required a signature for packages I have shipped and I have never had a problem in 7 yrs. I ship to confirmed paypal addresses ONLY, maybe you should have changed your confirmed address to your apartment, where you are the majority of the week. 50 miles it not a far trip, so like I said before there is no way for me to know what you did exactly with the control from wednesday till saturday afternoon/night. Not that it matters now but I think its kind of funny that after I mention that it took you 3-4 days to PM about the "tear" you bring up how you don't live at the address, haha ok.
I hope you continue to enjoy making your youtube videos and taking your pictures because it will not change anything in this situation. This is the 1 & ONLY time I will receive bad feedback on here or any other forum or ebay. I know I shipped you a perfect/non-damaged product and I have no idea what happened to it or what you did with it after you received. I also think its funny that you are posting those single post links in your sig...Do you not want people to see my responses to you?? Oh well, thats fine with me, I will continue to provide buyers with excellent customer service. 1 bad feedback doesn't bother me, especially from someone that has a 0 feedback rating. Well, I hope you have a great rest of the day and like I said last night, good luck with your future transactions ( SELLERS BEWARE).

Was pointing out you're a liar. Thanks for being a confused idiot, as usual.

I'm not going to drive 100 miles back and forth so I can baby sit your paranoia and shoddy shipping. You never asked me why it took me 3-4 days to pm you until now so it didn't occur to me you were so crazy that it mattered. If I pmed 2 hours after it was dropped off, you'd still ask the same paranoid BS. "OMG I don't know what you were doing with the control arm for 2 hours!!!! Maybe you messed up putting the bolt into the bearing lolololol!! Its so hard to install"

I will enjoy it, because now your for sale threads and I will be best friends. I never expected you to refund me my money voluntarily. And Your responses are quoted in my responses. Dur dur dur. I will continue to provide your potential buyers with evidence of your lack of customer service.

I appreciate all the nice things you have been saying about me. I am not and never have been paranoid about any of the products I sell or ship. I hope you have fun acting 5 yrs old and continue running your mouth on here. Like I said before, anything that is said on here will not change the outcome of this situation. You will not be "best friends" with my for sale threads and I will make sure of that . Once again thanks for your business and I am done wasting my time with you, I have much better things to do.

Good thing we have buyer feedback then. I'd buy from 06MRevo before I bought from you just based off feedback alone. That's if I hadn't read all this about you.
Now that I've read all this, you're the f*cking idiot and you're the one with crappy customer service, and obviously crap parts. Saying you'll be friends with his for sale threads will get you nowhere. It will just continue to prove that you're wrong. Plus I'll vouche for him, and not you. Especially if I see you ruining his for sale threads just for the hell of it. I'll call you out on your stupidity, and I'm sure others will too. We hate scammers.
