I think it will be a hell of lot easier to just remove the front bumper from the car and work from there comfortably and without hassle, I really don't see the need to remove the headlights?!
I have removed my bumper before to install grill mesh on it and it was really easy to do.
Nevertheless, thanks for the article great job!

Drives: A little red Neon. I also have a Lancer that presumably still rolls...but doesn't drive.

It's definitely not necessary and wouldn't really simplify the process, but if that's the way you wanna do it...
Basically it's just adding bolts to the equation.

I find it easier to just remove the front bumper and bring it to my basement and work on my bench than lift the car up, put it on stands, remove the headlights and work from under the car!

It takes less than a half hour to jack the car and remove the headlights. Whatever works for you.

I'd rather jack too. When I was installing my Injen CAI, it says to remove the bumper. I wasnt about to do all that extra work. So i checked it out and you can take off the plastic shield that needs a hole with just a few plastic snaps. So much easier than removing the bumper.
Back on topic, I want that new lip... but before I decide to get it I need to find a fix for those orange reflectors. Just doesnt look right with them IMO.

I'm just going to smoke mine...eventually. I don't mind the look at all though. I think that's the cheapest and simplest fix for those who don't like the reflectors whether they get the lip or not.
