Drives: 2010 Gray Evo X

anybody know of lightweight rims besides big names like VOLK?

I was hoping to fit some 17s on the stock evo x...but too bad our brembo brakes are so huge in the front that they will not fit....so that pretty much wipes out 75% of the lightweight wheel selection

so i'm off to search for lightweight 18s....enkei rpf1 comes into mind...pf01 as well....are there any other choices out there that are lightweight without paying big bucks like VOLK? I would love to get CE28N since they are like 16.5lbs in 18x9.5...but they cost so damn much

+1 for Buddy Clubs. There is someone in the NW marketplace selling a set of 17" buddy clubs (something like 14.5lbs per wheel?) for a good price. They are pretty expensive plus have a waitlist from what I hear. They seem to be rare on here.

buddy club, enkei, gram lights, wedsport, ssr, velox, final speed, 5zigen's fn01r forged...if you can find it, prodrive, a few konigs, team dynamics, advans, centerline...that's about all i can think of that has lightweight wheels in their catalog.

there's rota too...but i tend to frown upon that, so i won't recommend it, but they do have fairly light wheels as well.

I have a set of Forgestar wheels which are light and moderately priced. I paid $1200 for my wheels from Double Down Motorsports.
Here is my wheels in 19" for reference

there's one - the trak lite. but they come in 17 max, so it's not qualified for the x.

Drives: IX MR on +15 CEs

A couple of things that you should list to narrow down your search would be price and if you are concerned at all with is ..... style...

keep an eye out for a set of Gram Lights that someone is selling here or maybe even a set of Advans. A used set of Gram Lights will run you about the same that you are gonna pay for a set of wheels that will in the end up being heavier and not as good as in quality.

I highly suggest a set of RPF1s though or a set of NT03+M if you can't score a used set of GramLights or Advans.

One thing I will say though is... if you want a forged wheel as light with the look of a Volk then its gonna cost you. A set of TE37s just sold here for $1800... and thats CHEAP!! Anyone here will attest to it.

A used set of GramLights can go for around $1200 to $1400 here... maybe even less if you catch the right deal.

Good luck. I hope this helps
