Zeal/Endless make the Function series coilover for the EVO X. There legit, and also allow for custom spring rates when purchased.

Just picked up some Function T's (nickel plated for longevity and added corrosion protection).

If you're looking for a good track-dedicated coilovers, try looking into STANCE GR+ Pro SS-D's

The valving is set to compliment the heavier spring rates.

Lower bracket design also allows you to run HUGE tires with lots of camber adjustments without running into inboard clearance issues!

Just ask Goofygrin... he's on STANCE GR+ Pro SS-D's with 275 Hoosiers and running -4.5 degrees of camber...18x10.5 +15 Enkei RPF1's.

I've also heard good things about the HKS Hypermax III coilovers.

Does anyone have experience with these?

I'm also looking for something. Lots and lots of options out there.

Wanting something around 1500. For Autox / track days / and driving there.

The Stance so far seem the best option. Hard to say between the SSD or just the pro model. The SSD has 14/12k rate and the pro has 10/9k rates. Any advice on those rates? The 14/12 seems very aggressive.

Maybe even the Meullerized JIC coilovers but they are more than I want to spend.

Wow so many options. For a daily driver who doesn't go to the track often, what would you guys suggest for under $2k? I want quality suspension but don't need that much adjustability. I go to an occasional HPDE 1-2x a year.

These rates show that they do not understand how the EVO suspension works. This is very basic stuff and they're getting it wrong. Like freshman year, Intro to Suspension Dynamics 101 stuff. Chapter 2, in bold letters, in it's own box in the sidebar so you KNEW it was going to be on the test. Seriously.

YOU DO NOT WANT SOFTER RATES IN THE REAR ON THE EVO IF YOU CARE ABOUT HANDLING.

My advice on those rates is to avoid them and anyone who pushes them because they do not know what they are doing. And spring rates are the EASY part when it comes to coilovers.....shock valving is what's difficult. If they can't get that right...well then it says a lot.

Sorry to lecture and i know it sounds harsh, but it's the truth.

Yes I run them on my 08 GRB Sti...GREAT... but in a different price range (and worth it) One reason I have built my business on the KW V3 "system" is is is the least expensive true independent valved double adjustable suspension out there...

I will be in NJ just before thanksgiving.....want a full set-up?

So would swapping the springs around if they fit hypothetically, to 12/14K be the better way to go?

What company has gotten the spring rates right? Everyone I have seen does higher rates in the front.
