Drives: the ball to deep center, it's back, way back, AND IT"S GONE!

Need help!

I took the car down to Commercial tire to have them put on my new direzza's a couple weeks ago. I'm still on the stock enkei's, and as such have the wheel lock lugs that came with the car. My wheel lock magically disappeared, and commercial says it was never in there. I just rotated the tires for an auto-x the weekend before that, and I know I put it back in there, and my garage is spotless - no wheel lock key.

Anyways, I'm hoping someone on here has one laying around that they wouldn't mind shipping to me if I pay for shipping. Once I get them off, I'm replacing them with regular lugs, so I don't want to spend $50 to buy a new one. The local mitsu dealership doesn't have a master. They also never get evo's in. If anyone can help, I could sure use it. Please keep in mind this is for the 2008 Evo X only.

Thanks,

Jim

If you're taking them off and replacing them (which is what I did), then there are tools to get them off. Any decent tire shop will have the tool to do it.

They're all quoting me $10 per tire, need to replace a wheel stud $2, and no guarantee they won't damage the rim. I think I'll just have Mitsu order me a damn key.

Thx though.

Most wheel locks are different. I'd recommend getting rid of the wheel locks. All they do is cause headaches. And if someone wanted to steal your wheels it only takes an extra 30 seconds to get it off without your key. What's the point of a wheel lock if you keep the key INSIDE the car anyway?

What the shop is going to do is hammer on a 22/23mm socket to the lock and use an impact gun to remove it. The possible damage is them missing the socket and hitting your wheel.

Good luck!
