Picked up my Dunlop Winter Sport 3D's today. 235/40/18. There's a $50 rebate on them right now, so they come out to about $800. I'll have them mounted in a few weeks.

I used 235/40/18 Dunlop Winter Sport 3D's all winter this past year on the stock wheels. I'll be putting them back on in a couple of weeks. They don't look that great compared to the stock tires, but my car is definitely amazing in the snow. Pretty darn good tires on dry roads too.

LesterH, when you say that the WS3D dont look that great compared to stock, what do you mean, just becuase they are a little more narrow or something else?

225 size is not recommended for the stock rim X. Having more than 1 % diameter (with the 225 you are around 2.4 %). 235 is the minimum.

Not any snow yet, make no mistake, the Blizzak WS60s are no compromise snows and don't come close to performance tires on dry roads.
Buy I cant wait for the snow!

Just got a set of 225/45/18 Blizzack LM-60 installed on my stock GSR wheels. No issues (other than the fact I didn't have a key to the locking lug nuts, thank god I never got a flat tire, I had no clue they were even on the car, the tire place was able to break em off with a little heat and elbow grease), the tires look just a tiny bit stretched over the rim, but it's honestly not as bad as I thought it would look.
