All season tires?

So I'm planning on picking up some all season tires to put on my stock GSR rims this month. I am getting all seasons for use though the winter months. We have relatively mild winters, but have enough crappy days that I need to get performance tires off of this thing.

My question is simple. In your opinion - what is the best value all season tire to put on an X?

I have the Ziex-512 and i absolutely hate them. They were decent on my '04 STi but on the Evo they sucked completely in the winter.

So they're pretty good in the snow? How's the dry traction and treadwear on them? My Falken 512's are completely shot after 17k miles and sucked in the snow. Dry traction is decent, kinda screechy.

I've got Bridgestone Potenzas on my IX. Had em since last winter and they worked like a champ in the snow.

Not an X, but... I had them on my IX and they were great - especially for the type of situation that you're talking about!

I first considered dedicated Studless Snow, but got these for a sweet deal, so I tried them.
They have good enough performance on dry roads as an all-season, but I was amazed at how they shined on snow.
I was able to get through everything that a snowy Michigan winter could throw at me without any problems.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus, I never spun out with them and it provides ton of grip on snow and wet surfaces. But they also cost you a premium at $249 per tire for 245/40/R18
