falken ziex 912s on a evo x

hey folks so i never got an alignment after i installed my lowering springs last year.

been running stock tires for a year and a half and my tires pooped out on me yesterday afternoon at 29k.

my passenger side front tire looks like someone got a potato peeler and left it on the inner tire, up to the point where wires are sticking out talk about waiting way too long crazy economy.

anyways find an awesome deal for falken ziex 912s exact stock size 245-40-18
plus mount balance and install and taking old tires for a total of around :470ish:

i so far think its an awesome deal, i dont do any aggressive driving as you can see keeping the yokos till 29k, so just need something i can daily drive 90 miles in haha.

anyone wanna stop me? should just go with the deals? or look for something better? havent heard falken ziex stories on the evox yet, so if no one stops me i shall review it on the x

i have them on my X. wow you did get a great deal, i paid 600 installed....and i thought i got a good deal

i swapped them as soon as i got the car since i drive to tahoe a few times a month (for snowboarding season). obviously the grip isn't there compared to the oem tire, but the tire has been good to me. i have about 10k on them and they aren't even 1/3 worn yet. no feathering too.....

how did u get that crazy deal?

I use the Ziex 512s as my winter tires and I don't have any complaints. I personally wouldn't run them year round though, I need some grip in the summer. If I lived in SoCal I would definitely be riding on performance tires all year, but that's just my opinion.

Regardless, it seems like you found a great deal for the tires, and if you're looking for all-seasons, you can't go wrong with the Ziex 912s.

Drives: ambystom01 crazy by insisting on spending $2000 when $400 would do

No, I put them on ex-wapce's car and they are ok for a regular car but don't do that to your Evo. Even if you don't drive aggressively.

I have the 512s on my track car's street rims (just for driving to/from track and they were cheap ) and they are meh at best.

I got the 912 and they make a confi drive/ a lot less road noise and more meat then stock ones. Really good for a DD.
