I remember getting my wheels like that when I had my first car, cardboard covering both sides, but I got them with tires so I didnt have any problems.

Yea, like I said. He couldn't have been more helpful on the FedEx front. He did a **** load of leg work, got letters and tons of info faxed. Still wish the rims were in boxes but considering the idiots at FedEx packaged them, hard to blame the seller 100%. I personally wouldn't have ever shipped rims not in boxes, but it's not unheard of apparently.

I was stupefied myself. A couple people posted that they have received rims shipped in a similar manner, but me, NEVER!

If I was thinking....hummm, how can I ship these wheels so they get really messed up? hummmm...... I know. I won't pack em at all I'll just ship em loose!

You need to leave him negative feedback on his trader ratings so others know about this. If it gets resolved, then include that in the feedback, but leave something.

It's a shame that he went through this. I bought these wheels after the seller got them back, and they weren't in that bad of condition.

The seller told me that he was trying to get him some money to offset the loss. I hope he did. I tried to buy them from the guy that bought them but he had sent them back to fedex.

I bought some wheels/tyres from Buschur a few years back and they came strapped together in pairs with that strong vinyl strip, face to face with nothing in between the faces. Not only were they chipped everywhere that the faces met but they were also chipped where the vinyl strip had chafed agains the rims (they were also bronze). Lastly, they were absolutely filthy and the delivery guy gave me a right earful as if I'd shipped them to myself... Luckily for me though, they went straight back and I got all of my money (including packing & shipping costs to send them back) refunded. Sorry to hear about your bad luck .

Maybe there should be a forum rule about HOW to properly ship wheels?
