Vinyl Stripe?

My EVO X GSR has a ugly door scratch from something like a bicycle that rubbed up against it.

I tried to repair it with Mitsubishi's touch-up paint and rubbing compound. Actually made it look worse. Then I tried to repair it with Dr. ColorChip. I think that would've worked pretty well, if I tried it first.

Quotes to repaint the entire side of the car are running $600-$800.

So I'm going to give this 1 last low-cost self-repair before getting a pro-paint job...

Does anybody know where I can find pre-cut vinyl stripes for a EVO X and/or Lancer? Nothing tacky or loud. I have a Silver car. So either white, black, or grey.

It needs to be about 1" tall so it can cover the mark.

There are actually 4 scratches...

3 of them only had clearcoat damage and maybe a layer of topcoat
But the 4th (and longest one) has the top-coat off to the primer

I tried buffing out with rubbing compound...that made 1 disappear.

But 3 remain (and I also made one scratch a little worse with over-aggressive buffing).

did you try turtle wax rubbing compound? (the green and white package)
get a cotton rag, moist it with water then rub (long strokes) a thin coat or rubbing compound to the scratch. then finish it off with a wax.

Hmm, I would take it to a detail guy and see what he can do. Mine were pretty deep and he wet sanded / buffed them out
