Hybrid R / T1R Evo X (Lots of Pics!)

It's been a crazy 3 weeks for us here, receiving and test fitting prototype parts, and preparing our Evo X for its official debut at the Toyo Driven to Perform (DTP) show here in Vancouver. The show just finished on May 31 so we finally have a chance to post up pics of what we've been up to.

Here's the car bone stock the day we picked it up from Mitsubishi. Actually, we put on a short antenna right away!

Working on the T1R 76S exhaust prototype:

Then the new T1R shift boot (black suede with white stitching or red stitching will be available in a couple of weeks)

T1R coilover testing:

Evo with the coilovers installed; the legs on the rear coilovers were actually too short, resulting in the rear being slammed. We've now got the correct legs and the car's ride height is much better.

Receiving Mobil 1 sponsorship for the DTP show... 60 cases, 4 jugs per case... that was a lot of lifting!

T1R IC Pipe and Engine Cover development:

New wheels and tires arriving... Volk RE30 with Advan A048:

new T1R carbon kevlar seats going in:

Personal Neo Grinta steering wheel and front shot of T1R seats:

Voltex front wing lips waiting to be installed:

Colt Speed / Gruppe M intake:

Evo being prepped for decaling:

AND HERE IT IS! THE HYBRID R / T1R EVO X ver.1

Setting up for a group shot with other T1R project cars:

Front quarter shot:

Side profile:

Rear quarter:

Close up of the Voltex Wing:

Another shot of the Voltex Wing, and showing support for evom.net!

Titanium tip on the prototype T1R 76S exhaust:

Another rear quarter shot, note how the Voltex front lip sticks out:

Close up of the Voltex lip:

another shot of the Voltex lip, and the tow hook:

Volk RE30 in Formula Silver with T1R wheel nuts:

Engine bay pic:

Big thanks to T1R, Blitzgear, and Mobil 1 for helping put this car together thus far!

We went with a digital camo scheme to emphasize the aggressive nature of the Evo X's styling, and more importantly, as a tribute to the men and women of the armed forces of Canada and the United States who are sacrificing so much for us.

Here are the current specs of the Hybrid R Evo X:

Personal Neo Grinta 350mm (Suede with red stitch)
Splash Steering Hub
T1R Steering Wheel PCD Converter / Spacer

T1R Racing Battery

We still have a lot more coming this summer! Still waiting for:

T1R Charge Pipe

A lot of the parts are still in the prototype stage, so keep an eye out for future posts with production versions.

Thanks for looking!

We are old friends with A&J Racing, but we are a separate company. We are in a cooperative effort on the Evo X. We, Hybrid R, have exclusive distribution rights on all T1R Evo X products.

Did you see the car at DTP?

Thank you for sharing, but IMO, you should do something about that front license plate. What intake are you guys using?

the car is a company car, so it really only comes out for product development, testing, meets, shows, and track, so the front licence plate is temporary for us. it comes off when needed

we are using the Colt Speed / Gruppe M intake right now

must have shift boot. Where do you get it? The stock plastic one slays me every time I look at it.
