How to pop open plastic racing harness holes?

i'm going to be fixing the staples problem on the recaro seats myself. as i've read, you can pop open the plastic shroud around the racing harness holes by yourself, but i don't know how it's clipped on, so i don't want to force anything unless i know exactly how it opens and closes. if anyone has experience doing that, please guide me on it. thanks!

kit...? i was just going to get some upholstery staples and go ghetto on it. i've done some basic upholstery before, it shouldn't be too hard for me i don't think to DIY it. the nearest dealer (that i trust) is too far for just some staples.

When you have it done at the dealer they have an upholstery shop do it, so it comes out really nice, I believe they replace the fabric too.

I went to the dealership to get the recall on the fuel pipe fix, hood latch, and awc reflash. While I was there I also pointed out that my staple was coming off the seat. They looked and it and said to opt to replace the entire seat assembly. They brought me a new 2000$ driver back assembly and installed a week later. This new back support assembly is firmer than the old seat. I think I got the revised 2010 seats with denser foam which is awesome.

Put a mini screw driver between the two pieces of plastic, and twist slowly. It's a simple as that. It will just come apart.

When I brought up the exposed staples to my dealer they told me I would have to leave the car, and they would have it taken to an upholstery place in Cutler Ridge which is like 10 to 15 miles away. I told him he was fugging nuts. I would never trust a porter with my car. I fixed it myself with these "c" clamp/ staples we used at BMW to upholster seats. Almost a year later and I haven't seen a staple since.
