Fog Light Disassembly

In my quest to black out (duplicator wheel coating-graphite) all chrome/silver/flat black the only thing i have left are the silver rings around the fogs. Anyone know if this bezel can be removed from the housing? Plan on taking them apart this weekend but thought someone may have some knowledge. Thanks.

Come on guys, i can't believe I'm the only one(GSR, presuming MR guys love chrome) that has wanted to black out the rings around the fogs. If nothing is out there and anyone is interested check back after the long weekend. Should have the wheels finished up tonight and the only thing left to be duplicolored are those damn rings..

I deleted my fog lights Wednesday. I didn't look that closely at the units themselves, but there are a lot of screws on the back of them, considering how easy it was to take off the front bumper, you might as well for leverage and ease of access to the full fog light unit.

i tried this a couple days ago. the only way to remove them with out breaking them is to some how remove the copper fasteners that hold the ring in place.the ring has 4 very flimsy tabs that are inserted into 4 small holes in the molding. the tabs are fastened by small copper fasteners that are not designed to be removed. to reach these these fasteners, you have to take off the front bumper and disassemble the fog light housing. it is EXTREMELY difficult to remove the fasteners with out breaking the tabs. if you break the tabs, it is no big deal, you can just super glue the rings on after painting and call it a day. i ended up breaking 5 out of 8 tabs LOL. tried gluing them but i don't have a steady hand so i made a mess and just junked my fogs. ended up ordering the evo rs fog light delete kit. im going the same rout as you. EVERYTHING that was chrome/silver on my car is now satin black, including my wheels. only thing left for me are my front lights and my exhaust. good luck man
