Seriously that sound is so annoying. Sometimes I don't like putting the seatbelt on right when I'm getting out of a spot so I'm not restricted...and it's so annoying to hear that beeping sound. My question though - would unplugging that connector under the seat generate some stupid error code?

Just to reiterate, I do always wear my seatbelt which I believe everyone should. When I pull into my alley and into tight spots I need to be free of it and that beeping is VERy obnoxious. So enjoy!
Also if someone else posted this then props to them. I didn't go back and read the entire thread.

havent tried it myself but this is posted in the old seat belt beep thread here. As you can see, this was just as annoying a year and a half ago

yes just unplug the sensor..
that way the car doesn't realise anyone is IN the seat...
which is good in an accident as you save your airbags as well
</sarcasm>
think about it guys

think they did this for a reason.. this prob has some connection to why the evo/sti insurance is so expensive.. people who own these cars drive fast

Are you sure this is how the driver's seat works? From a logical standpoint it seems to me that that the driver's side airbag would deploy regardless... the passenger airbag is certainly another story. But I have no proof it works this way... Quick, someone crash their car head-on without a seatbelt! :P

you would think so - but maybe its just one system for LHD and RHD cars...
either way its probably best not to "test" it out hehe
