That was an excellent write-up! I wish you had done this guide a month back so I wouldn't have been as n00by when I installed my lights.

Kind of a late reply in here.. but - I was looking into replacing the tail-light bulbs with LEDs. If I'm understanding this right, there's the 2 screws to the left (for right light) or right (for the left light) of the outside tails. Once you unscrew these, you can just pull the light out? You don't need to pull off the bumper and unscrew the nut on the outside lower corner of the light?
(hope that made sense.. imagine if it were the right rear light.. there's 2 screws on the left, the washer would be at the bottom right corner underneath the light itself)
If that's the case.. Damn. What a waste of time.

Nice, I'll be needing this.
I think Driveline has them in stock and ready to ship right now.

Yes, thanks for the tips. I just got finished doing mine.
*One tip for other owners doing this install - Removing the outside lamp assembly is the hardest step. The OP said to use a plastic wedge or something. I didn't have anything like that laying around, so I used a paint can opener! It sounds very stupid, but it worked very well. No touching the paint, just hooking the plastic edge and pulling. No scratches or anything. Just take it easy because when they come out, they come out! I almost had them go flying! http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/ite...pplies-_-2FDK5 - This is what tool I'm referring to.

I like the look of the top of the trunk without the lining.

Thanks so much! I read a lot of other how to's but your instructions were superior by far! I was reading and installing step by step and I ended up using a rubbery plastic door stopper for the wedge technique! I just realized that if the bulbs ever burn out, people should definately refer to this thread! And I agree looks killer on WW I'll post up my pics when my comp gets fixed!
