its called taking a large towel or blanket/sheet and lay it over the whole engine bay so you dont lose anything

Thanks for the tips guys. I shall try again this weekend- to be honest I was too scared to pry open the black clips off the heatshield because they bend alot but wouldn't come out.. was worried it would snap.

Not sure how relevant this is but I'm an Aussie with a white Evo X.
