makes you choose the one you are running? thickness of the core? frontal area size? least amount of pressure drop?

I'm a newbie to this site, ride a 06 Evo IX MR, just got a new paint job, pearl white with red n green pearl, injen intake with intercooler piping, turbo xs blow off valve and a ACT Extreme pressure plate cluth (stage 3). Any suggestions on wat intercooler to get? Do I go with an hks exhaust or greddy? Wat brand of cams?
