Wavy Rear Window

I just picked up a new 2010 GSR and was about to go tint it until I saw that the rear window looked wavy. It resembles the dimples on a golf ball but on a larger scale. I haven't felt the inside yet, but the outside is okay. Anyone else have this problem? I'll have pics tonight.

I think it's standard on the Evo Xs... not sure about the '08 GSRs but my '08 MR has the 'wavy' rear window as well. I haven't gotten tint on mine but it shouldn't be a problem.

It's normal. It depends on the angle of the sun and such, so sometimes you might see it and sometimes you don't.

It's an optical illusion due to the coating put on the glass. The actual glass will be perfectly smooth on the inside and outside. Nothing to worry about when you go to get it tinted.

Has anyone tinted the window after noticing this? And does it still look wavy sometimes? I never had a problem like this in any of other cars.

I have my windows tinted (35%) and I don't notice it...or at least I don't remember noticing it so it probably isn't there anymore.

I remember seeing this first on my '84 daytona turbo, its from the tempered glass, its common on a lot of cars.
